"I recently contacted A Better Home Services for a quote to repair water damage. Ben, the owner, responded the same day and scheduled an appt to come look at the project a couple of days later. From the initial consultation until job completion, Ben and his team were very professional and communicated effectively. What started out as a “simple” kitchen re-model became a much larger project as I decided to make additional upgrades and repairs to my 30-year-old home. The basic project timeline was laid out in advance, and despite changes throughout the project, it was completed timely. The crew worked efficiently and kept me updated regularly on progress and any changes in the timeline. It was evident that they take pride in the quality of their work as the finished project completely met my expectations. Ben was transparent about costs and handled any unexpected curveballs with professionalism. I would strongly recommend A Better Home Services to anyone looking for high-quality ho"

"Everything went very well and to my satisfaction. Everything was done very timely and effortlessly. I have been burned in the past by contractors so I am always skeptical and afraid of having my work not completed but this was a very smooth process and I am using Richard and the company for future work involving larger home improvement jobs to my house."

"Charles was very helpful, professional and polite. Gave good suggestions. Did not hire because I was able to make contact with a previous contractor and hired him, because of previous experience with him."

Customers say: Quality work

"Tony and his team have been our go-to contractors since early 2010s. I've never had an issue with their service and professionalism. Tony is always a great communicator - texts and calls are answered promptly and professionally. Pricing is very reasonable, and I've yet to propose a job that they are incapable of performing, and performing excellently. I would heartily recommend Tony for any project you may be considering. Thank you, Ratliff Painting and Repair!"

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Arlington, TX

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
