"Ryan will not return my phone calls and texts about fixing my under cabinet light. It stopped working about 6 months after installation. Our new window broke right away - Ryan said he will call Andersen then nothing. Our granite countertop chipped right away - Ryan said he will call Beatrice then nothing. Came and fixed chipped grout in the kitchen but used a different color grout (didn't ask if I was ok with it before installing). Worker broke our reverse osmosis unit - took two years to get them back on site to install replacement. Left pile of pavers, dirt, debris in our backyard for two years and had to hound them to get them to remove. Will not stand by their work or come back to fix unless you chase them down. The undercab lights, still not fixed. Ryan does not return my phone calls or texts even though he said he has the part coming in and he will send someone to install - then did not follow up to set up a time. Would have rehired for bathroom remodel if he would have been responsible about the work he has done but will not hire again. He can blame his workers who are not with him anymore, but that is not an excuse. The light needs fixing so you can come back and fix it."

We have had Czeslaw (Chester) do two projects for us (building a large multi-story home addition as well as doing a master bath gut rehab at another house) and we couldn't be much happier. He does quality work, at very reasonable prices, and most importantly, seems to care about doing a good job and having happy customers. He answers your calls, his guys show up for the job, and those workers do very high quality work (craftsmanship). No, he isn't perfect and doesn't walk on water, but if there are problems, he solves them quickly and to your satisfaction. He is smart, knowledgeable, and has lots of experience. Above and Beyond is capable of doing a very wide range of projects and I strongly recommend you hire them."

"Very professional. Although bathroom was semi refinished, due to all the problems we had had with the company who had done the basement, we decided not to let the remodelers install the toilet and pedestal sink. Good call as it turned out to be more complex and I shudder to think what the original remodelers would have hacked in order to do it. The sink drain pipe had been torn off during demo and one of the two the two bolts on the floor for securing the toilet had also been sheared off. Paul told me that it would take more time then the big deal we purchased and also let me know about the extra charges for materials due to the situation. He was able to get the pedestal sink with faucet properly installed on the first visit. Then he called to let me know he had purchased the parts for the toilet install a few days later, came to our house at the appointed time and finished the toilet install. He invoiced me promptly via email and I was able to pay the extras via credit card. Both fixtures work well. Although it ended up costing about twice what we paid for the big deal, in the end we got a quality job from a very professional and knowledgeable plumber.
