On the day of inspection, Darrul arrived on time, and performed thorough inspection of the house. Throughout the two-hour inspection, he explained every step he did in details to us, and gave us a lot of professional suggestions which are very helpful to first-time home buyers. It is very nice that he used some sort of infrared camera detector, and helped identify several issues, including some missing insulation above master bedroom tray ceiling, as well as a small water leak in laundry room. Darrul sent us a detailed 30-page report next day as he promised. The report was well-prepared with clear description of areas tested. The potential issues were highlighted with descriptive colorful photos, which are very easy-to-understand. This allowed us to contact our builder in a timely manner to have the issues addressed before the final walk through.
Darrul also did radon-test for us. He used two test kits to reduce testing deviation. One thing we ignored is that builder office was closed for Labor Day holiday, and Darrul couldn't get into the new house to pick up test kits. As a result, the test kits got exposed for more than 96 hours and the results won't be accurate. Darrul quickly contacted us and apologized. He re-did the radon-test without extra charge.
Darrul is very responsive and very friendly to work with. He quickly responded to our questions via phone/email/text messages, no matter it is before inspection or after inspection. We're very happy with Darrul's service, and would definitely recommend him to our friends.
