"03/06/2025 I hired Joseph Garies to do: 1. Bathroom remodeling; 2. Veneer stone tile installation at my BBQ area. Joseph Garies, North East Development LLC, RI License #GC-17083 CRLB Complaint C-25-78 Friday (03/28/2025) Joseph Garies asked me to pay (in full) him for these two contracts works. He promised that he will complete everything next day Saturday (03/29/2025) and Monday (03/31/2025). Friday Joseph Garies received the payment he requested and left. Joseph Gari didn’t show up Saturday. He didn’t show up Monday. Monday afternoon (03/31/2025) I got a text message from him, that he doesn’t want to do anything. Joe Garies installed veneer stone completely unprofessional: a) at the corners veneers should cut tight (no gap), cut at 45 degrees (similar wood boards); b) the top should be made of a flat flagstone. During the sidewall disassembly you removed Black Timber LOK Screws, about 78 pcs. Since you left the work, these screws are missing. Joe Garies destroys customers properties where he worked. Owner was asking for money every day. The company left the broken pipe and sheetrock onsite and still haven't picked it up. They destroyed my lawn, cracked my entire concrete driveway that now needs replacement. They also punctured a gutter and garage trim (they did fix gutter and some trim). I now have to also regrade lawn, and fix trim. I do have to add they pulled one shrub as part of the job. They did pull out 3 other shrubs for me, which Joe offered for the work. He continuously told me he did the shrubs as a favor, and should be viewed as "helping me out" and should help to overlook some of the other issues/damage that occurred. This "company" shouldn't be allowed to be in business! Working on the Stone Installation project Joe Garies severely damaged / ruined the stamping concrete patio. To clean it costs $840.00 I sent to Joe Garies a number of emails, asking him to finish the contract. He promised each day to be here, but he never showed up."
