"This company rebuilt a badly deteriorated cement-block retaining wall which supports my elevated driveway, repaired numerous concrete sidewalk cracks and a crumbling step, replaced an ugly, old, insecure chain-link gate with a beautiful steel door, and installed attractive brick borders around a couple of small garden spaces (after also cleaning up those weedy spaces). The price was more than fair; I'm very pleased with the work, timeliness and charming personality. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again."

"This is the second time we used Mason and his crew. Capitol Hill home that needed a stucco makeover. The house looks great and the entire process was seamless and stress free. Mason is a pro and his communication every step of the way is fantastic. His crew works hard and are very meticulous with every detail. Would highly recommend."

"Working with Crane & Associates was a homeowner’s dream come true. After requesting an estimate for a new driveway through Angi’s List, Joe Crane personally phoned to discuss the project at hand. Joe was extremely knowledgeable, clearly explaining what I should expect and encouraged me to talk to other contractors and offered a mindful checklist for us to consider when comparing quotes. After the initial conversation, I had several interactions with Paul, a Crane associate, who detailed the scope of work and provided the initial estimate. We then had further discussions with Joe to be sure we were on the same page in terms of contract, pre-construction process, demo, final installation, and post-construction communication. This entire process could not have gone better and yet it did. Jacob Corun was our on-site Project Manager - and when I say, "on-site", I mean every minute of every day. Jacob was great to work with. He delivered daily updates in a professional manner with a smile that said, "we're in this together." Jacob’s site crew was spectacular. They were respectful of both our property and that of our neighbors and finished each day leaving the work area meticulously clean and tidy. Jacob was sure there was water readily available and Crane employees delivered lunch to the crew several times. Jacob told me, “a good crew is hard to find, we want to take care of them.” That’s who I want to work with when making choices to improve my home – a company that takes care of each other. So, would I hire Crane and Associates again? Yes, absolutely, beyond a shadow of a doubt. If you're looking to improve your home, be sure to give Joe a call - you won't go wrong."

"I&F concrete did an incredible job on our home. In the course of four months, we hired them to do six different jobs: retaining wall installation, sidewalk repair/installation, driveway stone paver installation, brick patio installation, fence installation, and basement access repair and installation. Each of these was done professionally, on time, and at great value. I could not be more pleased with my experience with Fidel and his company!"

FAQs for concrete injection leveling mudjacking projects in Washington DC, DC

Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.

Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.

No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
