from subfloor to ceiling.  Water had
leaked down through the subfloor into the dining room downstairs, so the entire
bathroom had to be rebuilt.  I took
several months to talk to a number of contractors, and I am very glad I got
Devin.  Devin listened carefully to what
I wanted, making suggestions as requested but never trying to ?upsell? me.  As an old budget officer, I was determined to
make sure there were no surprises at the end, but not only was the work
completed on time and on budget, but the extra items I ended up asking for were
delivered at less than I had expected, and were done with the same excellent
quality as the scope work.  In some
cases, Devin advised me strongly that some work the other contractors said
would ?probably? be needed, was not needed.  His ?allowances? for tile and plumbing were
the only realistic such estimates I got from any contractor, and he passed on
his contractor discount to me at the tile and plumbing shops, allowing me to
build a very nice, quality bathroom at less than the originally estimated price
point.
The work quality was excellent, and his crew were
professional, polite, clean and non disruptive. 
He managed to gain me several more inches inside the shower, put
insulation against the outside wall that the original home builder had not
bothered with, and generally fixed up all the weak points of the original
bathroom.  The bathroom, although small,
is the ?master bathroom? so the crew had to go through my bedroom to access it.  Each morning, they covered everything in my
room with plastic, put tarps from the front door to the bathroom, and every
evening removed everything and vacuumed, leaving my room absolutely clean each
night.  They were even fairly quiet,
considering the nature of the work. (the hammering etc sounded ?precise? and
methodical to my untrained ear, never just banging away.)  So, my highest recommendations for this work.

They removed the existing tile, tub, and shower and installed a walk in shower, They needed to move the plumbing for the shower and vanity, install a new tile floor, build the shower, install tile for the shower floors, walls, and two niches. They also, repaired all the walls and painted the entire room. Their craftsmanship on the tile work, drywall work, and painting is the best that I have seen. They did an incredible job. They were very professional. They arrived on time every day. Jose is an excellent communicator and took the time to explain any options throughout the project. They put protective material down on all the floors leading to the bathroom and setup a plastic barrier each day to contain the dust. At the end of every day, they cleaned up their work area so that the construction materials and tools were limited to the bathroom itself. We had compete access to the rest of the master bedroom. Very highly recommended and I would not hesitate to contract with Munoz Construction again."

"I contacted American Home Pride after we had some water damage to our textured ceiling. Jim was able to give us a very reasonable quote over the phone and scheduled our appointment quickly. He was even flexible when I needed to change my original appointment. Jim and his assistant, Patrick, completed the job within a few hours. He even checked in later in the evening to make sure everything looked good after drying. Jim offered to return to fix anything we were not happy with, but there was no need. Everything turned out great, and you wouldn’t even know that we had water damage. We would definitely use American Home Pride again and would recommend him to anyone without hesitation!"

We picked a tile from Floor and Decor and set out to find a contractor. The first contractor, highly recommended on Angi, came in and proposed an installation that would have cost over $6,000. That struck us as much too high. We then approached JW, which had done work for us in the past, and got an estimate that struck us as reasonable. But to get their top tile installer, Cesar Miranda, we had to wait nearly two months. We decided to wait and are glad we did. When he arrived, he brought three different grout and gave us our choice. "A general contractor saves the day
My wife and I recently purchased a condo in the Washington, DC metro area. We were excited to create a warm, relaxing environment away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. By withdrawing a significant amount of money from our retirement savings, we decided to renovate both bathrooms by replacing the bathtubs, fixtures, and tiles. The first contractor (Bush Drywall) we hired let us down by his shoddy workmanship. We trusted him to provide us the best quality job by taking care of all our needs, while giving us a beautiful finished product that would add to the warm, relaxing environment we were trying to create.
Fortunately, we were able to find Matt, the owner of "Living Colors & Painting", to repair the shoddy workmanship of the first contractor. By comparison, we spent about the same amount ($6,900) to repair the bathrooms. However, the quality and professional service we received from "Living Colors & Painting" exceeded our expectations.
And what is more, by observing their work compared to the first contractor, we truly learned the difference between a bad and good general contractor.

In my opinion, within the economic battlegrounds to gain customer loyalty, those who truly listen to "customers better" and then "deliver what customers wanted" will do better in cultivating long-term customer engagement compared to those predators who focus only on the profit.
What is more, those who want to engage their customers beyond the instant receipt of the American dollar must accept the fact that social media has leveled the playing ground for both the consumer and the seller. No business can afford to disregard the power of the mass who efficiently leverage social media.

"We contacted Scott for an estimate and he was able to come out within a few days. The estimate he provided took into consideration the exact products we had referenced in our initial meeting which we were pleased with. My husband was deployed with the military when we were assessing contractors and they had a great conversation in which Scott explained his assessment. Scott came out with his team on the first day and the scope of the work changed slightly due to concerns found during demolition. He was able to quickly re-work the contract within budget to provide what we wanted. Throughout the project the DiJulio team went above and beyond for us taking on additional very small projects that made a big impact. There was a minor issue with scheduling the carpet team but Scott took our calls after work hours in order to re-schedule and came to our home to make sure the carpet was installed on time. We had a few minor concerns at the end of the project and Scott sent out a plumber to fix the issue the next day. He didn't have to and we were very impressed with his concern.
