"Mike and his crew were absolutely professional in constructing our deck.. He took the design I had seen on a website that was a great fit for our space and adapted it perfectly! We actually ended up with a larger (or so it seemed) deck than we were expecting. The workmanship was top quality as evidenced by my extremely picky carpenter son who saw Mike's work and had no negative comments at all. The cedar is of top grade and all the surrounding landscape was left intact and clean when they finished. We can highly recommend choosing Mike Rosian for your deck project. <br>"

"Strategem did an significant remodel of our place (including bathrooms) and did a fantastic job. They used high quality materials and were able to work with some of the quirky features of our building. We are still getting compliments about the work years later. Mitch is great to work with and, best of all, is transparent about pricing and decision-making, particularly when any unforeseen events arise. For a contractor, that alone is worth it's weight in gold."

"Our house, built in 1944, needed many repairs: cracked exterior paint on the main house exterior boards, broken vinyl siding on the addition, back door stairs and landing displaced by tree roots posing a safety hazard, old and drafty windows. We wanted to have all these problems fixed by a professional and had other contractors come to give us their opinions and estimates over the course of last year, but Todor was the only one who carefully looked at all the issues, formulated a solution and made us confident that he is able do a good and reliable job. We had worked with Todor previously and found him to be relaxed, pleasant and very trustworthy in addition to a skilled professional. We consulted him from the beginning to the end pf the project. Todor had many good ideas that improved both the functionality and the beauty of the project. For example he convinced us to use cement board to replace the broken vinyl exterior and he matched the color of the paint with that of the cement board so that the painted wood boards and the new cement boards are now almost identical and the house has more unity. He made extra effort to accommodate our wish to have more insulation under the exterior and under an overhang. In addition, whenever he found something unexpected, he showed us the problem and devised a solution. <br /> The present project took place during the months of July and September, with an interruption due to the windows being delayed. Todor and his crew came on time every day and worked very hard, rain or shine. They took off the old brick and <br /> concrete steps, built a beautiful deck with two fixed benches, replaced vinyl siding, painted the rest of the house, and installed a huge patio door / 2 windows combo, other windows, exterior door and garage door. We are very happy with the results and the whole process, especially because we were hesitant about the details and were able to adjust them until the last moment. Todor?s work is characterized by an attention to small details of functionality, to future problems that he foresees and does prevent, to a stubbornness to do the things right, even with more effort. For example, he noticed that improper previous work had caused rotting of the boards around the exterior door and steps, and after replacing the boards he took a lot of care to properly install flushing around the deck, so that the water will have a good way to drain. We also noticed that he continuously teaches and corrects his crew. In conclusion, we are very happy with the results, will hire him again for future work and would confidently recommend him. <br />"

"Awesome team. Estimate promptly done with detailed plans. Work done cleanly, efficiently with great attention to detail. Adjustments to frame done at no cost once old deck removed. Minor issues with wiring with stair lights mitigated as well at no cost by their electrician. Final deck is just outstanding. Joel was very responsive to phone/text/email before/during build. Price was slightly higher than other estimates but the end result was absolutely worth the investment."

"I cannot recommend Bigane Construction too highly!! This was a difficult project, which spanned a period of three months--including the last month, during most of which my wife and I were living in the unit while construction was continuing. The quality of the workmanship was far beyond our highest expectations. The principal worker on the job, Lukasz, is a true artisan as well as a wonderful individual. He was unfailingly helpful, was neat as could be, had great insights as to how best to do the work, and communicated with us constantly with regard to questions which would arise. He also worked very closely with our kitchen and bathroom planner, to ensure that the actual work not only conformed to the drawings but to the planner's design vision as well. Lukasz is a perfectionist, who insists on everything being absolutely correct. He knows the kitchen and bath remodeling business inside and out. The other workmen on the job which Bigane provided (including brick masons, plumbers, glass installers and painters) were equally professional. Bill Bigane himself was always available when needed. I feel that the overall fee was not excessive in the light of the work performed. The resulting effort is a showpiece, of which we are extremely proud. I hope to never again have to live through a remodeling--but if I did, Bigane would be the first people I would call."

"Service was Great! We called in the morning for a quote because we were tired of looking at our busted screen on our patio door (Our dog can’t see well and tends to think it’s open when it’s really not). Bob and his partner came a few hours later to pick up the door, and were back with the finished replaced screen within an hour! So glad to finally have a tight fitting screen in the door instead of our flappy busted old one! Would definitely hire them again!"

"After looking around for four years and interviewing a number of companies, we decided to go with Rob at First Choice Builders and we are very glad we did. From the beginning, he listened to us about our vision for the basement and laid out a fantastic design that included elements that both my wife and I were looking for. While he was not the cheapest bid, he was reasonable in price, very highly rated on Angie's list and we loved the basement that he completed for another customer. As a result, we decided to go with him. <br /> Rob is very good at communicating with his customers, and was patient and thorough when talking with us about his timeline and what he needed from us. So important was good communication to him that he fired two sub-contractors that he had used in the past because they were not responsive to our phone calls or his. I was very impressed in this respect. <br /> He got started framing out the basement relatively quickly and the work progressed at a good pace. He regularly showed up when subcontractors were in to both check their work and make sure we were happy. The basement was also left as clean as could be reasonable expected at the end of each day. <br /> Rob and Mike found several serious problems with the house that were only evident after the work began. Rob was very good about showing us the problems (improperly supported I beam in the basement and moldy wood under the siding because of a lack of proper flashing) and helped us decide on the appropriate fix while trying to stay within the budget. They then made the repairs, showing us along the way what they were doing. <br /> After building a custom entertainment center, Rob and Mike helped hang the TV and hook up the components. They even brought in a cleaning service to clean up the basement and the main level when everything was done. <br /> They helped us anticipate issues and solve them before they became a problem. Their design suggestions were top notch, they were trustworthy and courteous and they earned my trust (which is not always easy). Best of all though, their work was fantastic and I believe that they deserve the title "Craftsmen." <br /> If you are thinking about having work done, call them in for an interview, you will not regret it! <br />"

"What I really appreciated about Just Right is they are very responsive. Especially that time of the year, it is hard to get people to come out because they're just so super busy. I do recommend them and have for I would say decades, Just Right. I've lived here 30 years and used them 25 of the 30 years or something like that. It's quality work."

"In my 64 years on this planet, I have overlooked the building of two homes from the ground up, three complete renovations of 1920s era apartments in Chicago, and now renovations of 1880s buildings in Chicago. So I am not new to construction or the challenges associated with building and remodeling, especially the unique hurdles to be faced in older buildings. Needless to say, I have been exposed to good and bad contractors. Given my background, I must say that Wally and his team at Chicagoland Remodeling were exceptional in every way. First off, Wally above all is an honest, hard working individual. Always a smile on his face, you can count on him to do his very best every day and will insist that the work be done as if it were his own home. He has an eager to please attitude. He is joined by his very capable assistant Izabela, who makes sure that the job runs as efficiently as possible. The tradesmen are old world artisans who take pride in their work. For the two jobs they worked on, involving kitchens and bathrooms, there was a very tight timeline, and WALLY and Izabela worked very hard to make sure the tradesmen showed up on time and worked efficiently without a missed beat. We made our deadlines successfully. What’s more, Wally was mindful of cost, often giving me honest advice on pricing. The overall cost of the renovations were on target and reasonable. Without hesitation, I would recommend WALLY and his team at Chicagoland Remodeling to do a superb job at a reasonable cost. The added plus is working with WALLY, who always showed upon the job with a smile on his face and a positive can-do attitude."
