"Very professional, I have an older house and my I’ve used different types of routers to but couldn’t get the WiFi in all parts of my house until I called TechHaul. They came and ran Ethernet to multiple rooms in my house in a professional manner and now I have a hardwire option in the rooms I need. I am extremely satisfied with their work and would definitely recommend them to others."

"No complaints. The Technician was professional and completed the tasks in a professional manner. I used an Angies list coupon for one of the jobs and it was a fair price. The other TV was a little more. I used the Angies list service because I wanted to support local business people. I was surprised to find out the Tech was an independent contractor provided by a California company. A month or so later I needed another TV mounted. In addition to Hellotech I looked into another internet company that begins with "A" that provides local contractors for home repairs. The other service was quite a bit cheaper ($118) and the repair work was comparable. If I can't avoid national internet companies I might as well go for the cheapest."

"I dropped my laptop on its side off a kitchen table and the plug no longer worked to power the laptop. A piece of the plug receiver had actually come out when the computer fell. I was able to still power on my laptop, but it had very little battery life left and there was no way to charge it with the plug broken. I called Eric on a Saturday afternoon intending to leave a voice mail since the business is not open on Saturday. He actually answered the phone! Then he reassured me that he could fix the laptop and asked me to call him back Monday morning to arrange to get the laptop to him. I called him back Monday morning, dropped the computer off at his home that same day and he called me back the next day to tell me it was fixed. I picked it up from him that same afternoon and the computer is working beautifully. I highly recommend PCRx Computers. Eric is a true professional and does a great job!

"Davis Home Electrical and Home automation installed outdoor cameras and automated our indoor and outdoor light switches. We can use our phone and voice command to control our lights, TVs, music etc. A great benefit when we are not home. We can always check our cameras no matter where we are. We can program our lights to turn on as we drive into the driveway. The options are endless and personalized. Davis Electrical worked closely with us to figure out our needs while at the same time educating us as to our options. Davis Electrical is thorough, personable, easy to work with and so so knowledgeable. Chris, who owns the company, is passionate about what he does and is highly intelligent. He has a brain that is always configuring the best possible system for each of his clients. I can t say enough about what great hands we were in. I highly recommend!!!!"

"I am happy with the monitoring they do but there was a few times I have had them do other things for me and they were not very friendly on the phone. I really didn't like their attitudes. I do however feel safe having them monitoring my home."

"Overall I had a very good experience with Cole Electric. As soon as I sent a message for a quote request I heard back from Andrew. He was extremely flexible with setting up a time to come give a quote and even came by an hour before they normally do service calls just so that I could get to work on time. He was courteous and friendly - very quick to put together the quote. Once we agreed to the quote it was very easy to set up an appointment. Andrew showed up as agreed and got right to work. Everything was done very quickly and very quietly - he was finished within an hour and a half or so. Very friendly and professional. I would definitely call Cole Electric in the future for other needs.

FAQs for home theater system or media center installation projects in Ashland, VA

For those on a budget, a home theater system can be installed for as little as $5,000. This simple setup, which doesn’t require professional installation, includes essential components that provide reliable visual and audio performance. It's a budget-friendly way to enjoy movies, TV shows, and live events from the comfort of your home.

Plan to spend at least $70,000 for a high-end home theater. At this price point, you’re paying for advanced components, including flagship projectors, reference-grade speakers, dedicated subwoofers, robust A/V receivers, and professional installation. These features deliver outstanding picture quality, rich surround sound, and a polished finish. Costs climb quickly when you add custom seating, acoustic treatments, and smart-home integration, so ask your installer for a detailed estimate before committing.

The ideal screen size for optimal home theater viewing ranges between 100 and 120 inches. A well-proportioned home theater room measures 24 feet by 15 feet, with a minimum ceiling height of nine feet. However, smaller spaces, such as 15 feet by 20 feet or 10 feet by 12 feet, can also work well. These dimensions enhance acoustics and visual performance, creating an immersive entertainment environment.

A well-built home theater room should last as long as the house, but the electronics inside need periodic attention. Plan to review your equipment every four to five years to see whether new formats, connection standards, or performance upgrades justify a change. Upgrading outdated projectors, receivers, or streaming devices keeps the system running efficiently and prevents compatibility issues, all while protecting the investment you’ve already made in the space.
