"After several years of debate on what kind of deck/terrace to built at the rear of our house, we finally decided on a wooden deck with a screened gazebo. Southern Remodeling was a name I received from my favorite lumber yard, and we hired Tim, the owner, for a much smaller job to see if we liked his work. As this was the first deck we had had someone else build for us, we wanted to be sure we could work with the contractor. The small job turned out great, and we asked Tim to provide us with references we might contact. With every reference praising his work, we gave him the drawings we had prepared, and asked for a firm price using premium materials. His price was acceptable, and he started working on the deck. His humor and goodwill made working with him a pleasure. He was good with our dogs, no mean feat, and listened to our requests, offering alternatives where appropriate. I was impressed with his workmanship, and with his patience. The pre-built 16' x 10' gazebo fit perfectly on the decking Tim built for it, and it all looks as if deck/gazebo were part of the original home. We are so pleased with our new outdoor space, and with the extra little touches of Tim's workmanship we notice every time we are out."
