"This is our second time using One of a Kind Carpenter. They are great to work with from start to finish (calling to book an estimate all the way to completion of project). For this project, we had our exterior crawl space openings all redone as well as remodeling our laundry area in our house. Our home is almost 100 years old, and Chad made sure that all of the changes looked as if they belonged in the house. He made sure to match the custom crown molding in the house, and even went as far as custom creating jeweled doorknobs to match the other jeweled doorknobs in th home. The team was very professional, always on time, and, most importantly, did exactly what we wanted (and more). We will be using their services again!"

"The construction done by Lucky and his sons was excellent! The new addition was built stronger than our house! I don’t know that we could have a better job from anyone else. We met Lucky after speaking with 8 other contractors, he had already googled our house so he had an idea of the job before he got here whereas the other contractors wanted pictures first. I liked his confidence and knowledge and he was also an engineer which was reflected in his workmanship. His design was better then we expected or even thought of. As a general contractor he doesn’t always do the site work but he was here much of the time checking on the job. His two sons did most of the hard work and not only were they extremely knowledgeable they were very pleasant to have working in your home. Lucky expected a lot from any of his subcontractors any made sure it was done right and calling them back if he wasn’t satisfied (the concrete guys did a sloppy job on the exterior concrete, not affecting the construction just the outside look of it. Lucky made them come back and fix it without us even having to ask. Anything we asked he went above and beyond to do. Lucky’s contract was the most detailed contract we’d seen protecting both parties. The job took one month longer then expected which I’m sure is normal in construction but due to issues out of his control, like two hurricanes. His initial quote was within the same range as most the others. The job ran $5,000 over budget but that was due to changes made and cost involved was explained first with the option to move forward with it or not. Things like we were going to try and save an existing sliding door that was 28 years old we changed to a nice French door that of course was an additional cost. A budget was set up and explained at the signing of the contract and some things ran higher then projected like concrete, the family room was built over an existing Florida room so the concrete had to be leveled to bring the floor up so there was no longer a step down which cost more. The budget cost was based on a step down which we changed deciding wanted it level. Extra costs were from our changes. If we had not made changes we would have been on budget. I don’t think construction is ever a pleasant experience but I think Lucky and his team got us through it. We most certainly would hire him again."

"I had an excellent experience with my kitchen remodel through S&W Palm Harbor. I had a general color scheme with some style references to start from and Gina did a great job as designer making it fit to the space and sourcing product to match as we narrowed down the choices to the final design. Daniel the contractor kept me informed on the work scheduling and handled bumps along the way like switching the round pop-up outlets to square ones when the demolition revealed unexpected clearance issues. They were very accommodating to reusing my existing appliances and saving some of the fixtures that I wanted for my laundry room. My kitchen looks awesome and the gain in functionality is a massive improvement from my original layout."

The other two contractors, one came out to the house told me he will get back to me… never called me back. "HONEST, DEPENDABLE, CREATIVE, EFFICIENT, AND REASONABLE PRICES. This is obviously a family-owned business that takes pride in iits craft and reputation. I have used this company for several different projects over the last 2 yrars, ranging from $1500-$10,000. Maybe not the cheapest, but they had to replace and repair what lower cost contractors had done to my house. BEAUTIFUL DESIGN. Used the available space without overly narrowing hallway. Javier even went over which sorts of items, files, boxes, etc. That I wanted to store, and made sure to proportion spaces accordingly. Incredibly durable painted / colored surfaces, even with my kids banging step stools into them. HUNDREDS of colors to choose from. Patient, careful design and installation, and any small issues (which were mostly due to the poor original construction of the old kitchen cabinets that they had to work around or repair) were corrected quickly. Javier make his gorgeous design form match the function that you need, and doesn't try to upsell just to make money. I have SO MANY new projects I want him to do, including my mom's new tiny house.
