"We had a terrible experience with another contractor who had left us high and dry and with a massive sanitation and safety hazard on our hands. Paul and his team were able to swiftly come in and address all problems as well as highlight design/layout choices made by the previous contractors that simply didn't make sense. They repaired items that had been damaged by the previous crew, swiftly got the remodel completed, and did so all while acting in a professional and courteous manner. The price was fair for the work and both Paul and his foreman checked in repeatedly over the next few weeks after completion of the remodel to ensure that everything was still in good condition, that we were still happy with the work, and to ensure there was nothing that we failed to think of or get addressed during the project. We would absolutely hire Paul and his crew for subsequent work in the future."

"John was very responsive. I needed cabinets to match the ones already in my new house. He was able to identify the exact cabinet from a distributor who only works with contractors, he placed the order immediately and worked out # of cabinets, drawers and glass doors would suit my needs and the space. He also provided samples of counter tops for me to choose from, did measurements and acquired the top. Unfortunately the doors to one cabinet were warped and he has been working with the distributor to correct this. My favorite aspect of working with John is that he is very communicative regarding any scheduling issues, changes, etc. I can expect a call from him first thing in the morning to confirm work to be done and if I am not home he very apologetically will contact me during the day with any questions. He is also neat and cleans up any mess. He is very sensitive to functionality - it actually bothers him if something does not work correctly or is not installed in a way that is most useful. I've used him on any number of other projects as he seems to be able to do just about anything! Which is also why I could not exactly isolate the cost for this particular project."

"We could not be any happier with the work done for us by MK Remodeling. From the first visit to the house, we knew that they were going to be our contractors. Our house is over 100 years old, and these guys know their way around old homes. From our non-level floors to our non-square walls, they had a solution to make our kitchen look amazing. We didn't come across a single problem that they weren't able to solve for us. When I was freaking out because the refrigerator was too big to get into the kitchen through our narrow doorway, we only heard "no problem, we'll take care of it" from them. And the next day, our massive new refrigerator was in place. They worked with a kitchen designer who came to our home to help us with ideas for the space. She was no additional cost, and made computer generated designs/models so that we could see how the space could look in various arrangements. She helped us pick out our cabinets to get the look that we wanted. This project was a full kitchen remodel. They completely gutted the space to the studs, incorporated a computer nook and a closet to expand the space, built a new closet in a different area, replaced the kitchen windows, moved a doorway, and then rebuilt the kitchen up from the floor to the ceiling. These guys have an eye for detail. There were a couple of issues with the cabinets (door stain didn't look right, one door was broken) that when I asked about it, they were already a step ahead, having noticed it themselves and contacting the cabinet maker to set the issue right. It just meant that in the end, the kitchen looks even better than we could have imagined. We always felt like MK Remodeling had the situation under control. Whether it was work that they were doing themselves or work that a subcontractor (electrician, plumber) that they brought in, it was always professional. We had an unrelated old home issue while they were working, and they were able to help us arrange for their plumber to come and resolve it, faster than we could have on our own, I'm sure. The project cost what they had projected, with only one non-budgeted expense when a wall we wanted removed was found to have radiator pipes running through it. They gave us our options, and in the end we opted to pay to have the pipes moved so that we could have our original design. They started the project only after all the cabinets had been delivered, and the project took as long as they had estimated. Equally as important, they were able to befriend our crazy dog, who looked forward to their arrival and attention each day. They were personable and friendly, and after this experience, we cannot recommend them enough. We will go to them first for any future projects."

"Silvio came promptly around 9:00 AM and went right to work. He is diligent and very professional. He gave me good advice and honest feedback on the work he did. The weather stripping did not work out and he advised me against it. He was there primarily to install the drawers. I showed him the other smaller jobs to see if he could do the work, which he did. He didn't even charge me for the smaller repairs.  <br /> I appreciated his hard work and honesty. I believe he treated my home as if it were his own.  <br /> I plan to have him return in the Spring to do some outdoor maintenance as well. So happy I found him. <br />"
