"The Storm in November 2013 caused roof, siding and fence
damage at my house. When other companies were saying they would not be able to come
out for an estimate for weeks. Zack from Sundown Exteriors came out promptly and
gave a very reasonable estimate., He then came back days later when the
insurance agent was to be onsite (even set up the ladders for him) to make sure
everything was okay and everyone was on the same page. We scheduled the work
and even though we had a big snowfall days before, they were to do the work, They
came to do the work a day early. They arrived and cleared off the snow and
replaced the roof, some damaged siding and repaired the fallen down section of
fence. They were very professional and everything looks great.

"David gave me what I thought was a fair price for the work to be done. He asked for 1/2 up front. As a previous small business owner I did not feel this was unreasonable so I paid him 500.00. He estimated the work would take 3 to four days and I thought the same. After several no shows the "mason" showed up. The first clue was he came in a car. According to my wife he was here 2 hours and left, came back for another 2 hours the next day and left again. He said nothing to my wife about leaving or when he would be back. David called a day later to ask about coming out to look over the job and get the rest of the other 500.00. I said he isn't finished and he's only been here 4 hours. So then I looked up the prevailing wage in IL for a mason and found out it is 28.50 an hour. The next day the guy comes back for another 3 hours. David came to look at the work and I walked him around and showed him all of the places that had not been done. So the guy comes back again for about an hour. All told it was 8 hours work, nothing to write home about but it was agreed up front that I wasn't looking for an exposed brick look. I need it tuck pointed well enough so that I could drylock and paint the exposed brick. I will say this was done in the end. The worker left a mess that I and my wife had to clean up, I pointed this out to David as well. I told him I felt he was overly paid for the amount of work preformed and that was the end of it. It's really to bad. It's difficult to get contractors to do small jobs and I had plenty for him to do. I'm not unhappy, just would not hire again"

"Bobs work, attention to detail and pricing were outstanding. I've been looking/needing a Handyman since purchasing my home 3 years ago and may have found the guy in Bob! He kept me informed of when the service would be done and an issue that arouse during the work. We talked about best solution and moved forward from there. "I thought drywall repairs were very well done. I thought painting was excellent. I liked the colors they used and was very satisfied with their work. Probably took a week to get all done but the condo was vacant so speed wasn't the biggest issue. Really had no complaints and would recommend to others for painting or drywall work. I pointed out a couple of areas that were overlooked and they promptly took care of that too. Appreciated their advice on what colors would work best for this application.

"We had an exterior door that needed repairing or replacing. With the extend of damage that was likely due to poor workmanship from a previous install, repairing the damage and installing a new door was the outcome. Steve and his brother had their hands full and did a bang up job. We found another problem with gable damage during the initial visit and had that work done also. A keen eye saved us from serious problems down the road. We will definitely have them back for other projects that are on our to do list. Also, not afraid to refer them to friends or family."

"Having worked with Josh for the first time on a painting project in our new home, about a month ago... I decided to give him a shot at quoting and ultimately winning the bid for our fence. He had already proved his trustworthy ethics and willingness to keep customers satisfied. He was willing to start by digging the holes on a Saturday (never heard of a contractor working on the weekend), so that he could get out ahead of the impeding rain for the week. He made sure the holes were dig right with a two man auger and spared no expense on the concrete to set the posts (since we will be in the home for years to come).
Although the job did take a couple days longer than expected, this was in no way shape or form Josh's fault, as we had torrential downpours for two days and he had the decency to ask if it was ok not to work in the rain since not only was it dangerous, all of the trampling would ruin my grass.
He promised me that the job would be completed by Friday, and even pulled an extra person off of another job of his to make sure the man power was there to get the job done and done right.
The fence turned out absolutely great, and I couldn't be happier! The only problem is.. I cant seem to find enough work around the house to keep having him help! As stated in a review last month, Josh represents the new generation of contractors, one with honestly, loyalty, great prices and quality craftsmanship... a true asset."
