"Marsh contracting came in and took our 50+ year old bathroom and made it into a great, functional space. I wish I could explain the awfulness of the "before" situation they were facing. Tile and plaster 3 inches thick; square, heavy bathtub that need to be removed; galvanized steel pipes with years of corrosion blocking water flow. They had great suggestions for improvements and helped us stay within our budget while still taking care of the things that needed to be done. They were prompt and worked quickly; the only hiccup was on our side with a delivery issue, and they were able to work around it and keep the project rolling. Bob and his team were upfront with us on everything, and I felt that I had a clear idea of how the project was moving along, next steps, and the timeline for completion. Communication was never an issue, whether via email, phone, or text. And my super picky Father in Law has even complemented the great tile work!"

"The company has remodeled my master bathroom with quality jobs recently. The technicians are very knowledgeable and experienced. The best part I like is the customer service. Whenever I call and no matter what I want to talk, I can get reply with all the information I need. When I asked for reconnecting one of the water lines, they spent a lot of extra effort to let it done in a timely manner. "

"I had my bathroom tub replaced. The worker was solo and completed the whole project in 2 days. His name is Zack Gierada. Very professional, called to advise homeowner when he would arrive. Zack answered all my questions/concerns, very appropriate, cleaned up after himself. Worked from the moment he came until the project was completed. I would recommend his work to anyone. Thank you, Zack great job!! "

FAQs for bathtub installation and replacement projects in Auburn Hills, MI

Most tubs last an average of 20 years, or closer to 10 to 15 if they’re acrylic or fiberglass. If you’re seeing persistent leaks, cracks, stubborn stains, or mold that won’t scrub away, it’s time to start shopping for a replacement. Out-of-date features and visible water damage are other red flags. Swapping the tub now protects your bathroom from bigger (and pricier) repairs down the road.

You should install your tub in a location that complements your bathroom's layout, plumbing connections, and personal preferences. Consider placing it near existing plumbing to minimize installation costs. Many homeowners position their tubs to take advantage of natural light or scenic outdoor views, enhancing relaxation.

Ensure there's sufficient space around the tub for easy access and safety, especially if accessibility is a concern. Ultimately, the ideal spot is where the tub fits seamlessly with your bathroom design and provides the most comfort and convenience for your needs.

Replacing a bathtub takes just one or two days if you hire a pro to handle the job. They'll remove the old tub and install the new one efficiently. If you're considering doing it yourself, be prepared for it to take much longer, possibly up to a month. That's because you'll need to remove the old tub and drywall, install the new tub, repair the walls, and maybe tackle new tiling. Weigh the time commitment against potential cost savings to decide what's best for you.

Converting your tub to a shower transforms your bathroom with a modern and accessible design. The average cost to convert a tub to a shower ranges from $2,000 to $10,500, based on the required plumbing, tiling, and structural modifications. This upgrade maximizes space while boosting functionality and aesthetics in your bathroom.
