"Where do I start? Professionalism A+A+A+, worked with my schedule, I work 2 jobs. On time! Very respectful of my home. Answered all my questions and understood my needs. Recommendations they made were based on my budge without compromising quality and effectiveness. Only recommended what was necessary. Educated me on the humidity levels in my home, what is was and what it should be. They used their equipment for several days to make sure it got to those levels and checked on me almost daily to make sure everything was ok. They asked if I noticed a difference and of course I did, they inspected every inch of my place for mold, dust, mild dew, etc. They notice the filters I was using were incorrect and recommended the right ones and provided a link to where I can purchase in bulk to save money and how often to change them to be for effective based on my unit. He was very relatable, easy to understand and very knowledgably. They cared more about my concerns then charging me A+A+"

"My AMCR Testimonial --- Augusta Mold Control and Removal (AMCR) did an outstanding job on my project. From the initial consultation to the final walkthrough inspection, John Ashton (AMCRs owner and CEO) and the AMCR team were incredibly professional, friendly, responsive, and respectful. John answered all of my questions and thoroughly walked me through every step of the process. He is a man of his word and did everything that he said he would do. John and the AMCR team worked hard to ensure that everything was done to my complete satisfaction. I can state unequivocally that John is one of the hardest working professionals that I have ever known. Most importantly, I knew that I could trust John to get the job done right. John and the AMCR team made me feel like an incredibly valued client. They definitely have me as a customer for life. If you are looking for a mold remediation company that you can trust, then you owe it to yourself to hire John and his AMCR team with confidence."

"I contacted them because they were highly rated on Angi. My carpets are 28 years old. I have had cleaners come in and tell me just to replace the carpet. This company came in and did an AMAZING job! My carpets look new. Pet stains were removed and the stairs are immaculate, I would recommend them without hesitation. I would hire them again in a heartbeat!"

FAQs for mold & toxic material test projects in Augusta, GA

Some companies offer a no‑cost phone or video consultation that screens for red flags. If the discussion points to a real issue, the pro will recommend a paid on‑site inspection. The complimentary call clarifies whether you need full testing, but it isn’t a substitute for samples, lab work, or a written report. Always confirm what the free service covers before you schedule.

A standard inspection, which includes basic air and surface samples, takes an average of two hours. If the pro needs to probe hidden spaces, such as wall cavities or ductwork, plan on up to six hours. Extra time allows the inspector to reach tight areas, collect additional samples, and document findings. Lab analysis is a separate process and often adds several business days to the overall timeframe before you receive the full report.

Mold thrives where moisture lingers and air flow is poor. Common hotspots include bathroom walls, kitchen backsplashes, window sills, HVAC vents, fireplaces, crawl spaces, and enclosed attics. Check these areas regularly—especially after leaks or high‑humidity weather—to catch growth early and avoid costly repairs.

Unchecked mold can knock 20% to 37% off a home’s market value because buyers worry about hidden damage and health risks. Even after remediation, visible staining or a history of major moisture issues can still lower offers and prolong the time on the market. Addressing mold quickly protects both your property’s structural integrity and its resale appeal.
