"Brian came over after we had talked with several contractors about a concrete porch underside (in basement room) and one of those contractors made us think the concrete was in such a bad state of "imminent failure" that it needs a full replacement.So, while we continued to get quotes for a full replacement, we also asked a retired architect friend to give his opinion. He did not think concrete was so bad and he was glad we were having a structural engineer (Brian) coming over a few days later. Brian explained why he did not think the concrete was in need of full replacement (very expensive!) and also the damage was not a foundation/structure integrity issue (not "imminent failure"). We had spoken to several contractors and the cost to fully replace is upwards of 15-20 thousand dollars. From the state of the concrete, Brian did not believe the "symptoms" warranted a full replacement and that the more likely issue was simply that we never "sealed" the concrete with epoxy (and only painted the concrete porch). Given the sky-rocketing costs to do any home repairs, it seems more reasonable for us to do first level repair (not replace) that Brian suggests. Brian's honest and informative consultation (for free!!!) is piece of mind and a HUGE savings. We greatly appreciate Brian coming over to educate us - on his own dime. We will definitely ask Brian to come over again if/when we think we need an honest assessment of our home foundation needs."

"Phil and his crew were great. Phil came out in person to estimate the job--he got back to me in email within a week. Phil was so busy with other customers I had to be flexible to fit into his schedule but I didn't mid since it gave me time to clean out the garage. Phil's crew came out for a total of two days. First day was prep (grind concrete, fill cracks, caulk seams) and 1st coat (epoxy), along with decorative/non-slip flakes. Phil arrived separately and supervised too. Second day was installation of new drain cover & paint around that area, clean excess/loose flakes, and apply second coat (polyurethane), plus caulk any outside seams near the entrance to the garage. Phil collected payment later in the week and inspected. We kept off of the garage floor 3 days and just walked on it. We waited until 7 days later to move things back in and park cars in garage. Looks great, hope it holds the moisture out--so far so good..."

"Contracted for polyaspartic floor covering. We liked the look of the floor and the shorter drying time over other floor coating systems. The work involved sanding the concrete to help the coating adhere to the surface. They used a collection bag during the sanding so there was little dust during this step. Each remaining step was accomplished in a similar professional manner. Total application took about 7 hours. We were told we could walk on the floor in 4 hours after they left, but we waited until the next day and didn’t park in the garage for 48 hours. The floor is exactly as we hoped it would be and is a great improvement over the plain concrete."

"Chris and his crew were excellent overall. They were totally responsive to all of our suggestions. They were very professional at explaining what they were doing and why. They were very neat on the project--there was no mess left behind when they were done. They started and completed the work as scheduled and as promised. The price as quoted was the actual price. They restored the 100 year old wooden railing, built a matching gate across the front entrance, installed new Azek flooring after repairing several damaged areas of the under structure. They applied 3 coats of paint (primer and 2 color coats). They worked with us in matching the previous paint colors (3 colors). They also, at our request, built exact duplicates of two window boxes that had rotted over the years. They did not have loud music playing while they worked and there was no loud yelling during the construction (as we've observed on many other construction projects). The final result is beautiful and even better than we expected. It was a pleasure to have Chris and his crew work with us and we are totally satisfied with the result at our 100 year old house. We will be hiring them again for additional projects at our home."

"Mike  was easy to work with ( I was removing paper in the dressing area at the same time) and a very steady worker.  <br /> I was satisfied with the job he did removing the wallpaper and priming the bath.  <br /> I am very fussy about skim coat and was not satisfied with that part of the job. There were areas that were not smooth. I will have a different contractor skim coat before painting.  <br /> I felt that this was an okay price although I do not have any experience as I usually do this kind of job myself! <br /> <br /> <br />"

"In 2018, I had my concrete garage resurfaced with the Stone Appeal product. Before Stone Appeal, the garage surface was cracked and pitted. The installation took one day. Sal and his workers did a great job! The garage is better than new and looks far better than the garage floor after more than 40 years of wear and tear. What a difference! Sal is a true professional and knows his trade. I would recommend Stone Appeal to anyone who is looking for an upgrade and repair for a cracked and pitted garage floor. Two years later, in 2020, I contacted Sal for an estimate to repair our uneven walkway entry to our house. Sal gave me the estimate in March and the job was completed in late September.
