"Dustin and Troy came to our new house in Weiser to inspect our roof and talk about its condition and what we might do or not do. They showed up on time, which made me happy. They seemed to be polite and energetic young men. They explained what they were going to do and then they did it. After inspecting the roof, they came inside crawl through the attic taking pictures. They told us what they found and what we needed to do if we want toâ no pressure, no gimmicks, and so far no problems. We decided to replace the roof, so Dustin took us through the whole process of what, when, how much, and did it with a smile! Troy was there to keep Dustin in line and make sure he got it right. Both men were pleasant to work with, and fun to talk to. They seemed to know their business, and as I have been in construction most of my life, I was happy."

They arrived promptly each morning and picked up each evening before heading out. "I needed to have my roof replaced along with 5 skylights.  Mid Valley Building provided a very detailed bid and the price came in at least a few thousand dollars under any other bids I received, this included the price of new skylights. Not only did they provide Excellent service, but the installation was done with honesty, integrity and professionalism.  This company is family owned and displays wonderful ethics. They showed up on time with a great crew and completed the installation in two and a half days.  Not only were they prompt, but they made sure to leave the areas around the house cleaned up every day.  I chose Owens Corning Tru Def Duration Series roofing and was so very glad I did since I'm in a high wind and rain area.  They were very courteous and a pleasure to have around.  I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone looking for honesty, integrity and professionalism in a contractor. I'm a very happy customer and for any other major construction or repairs to be done, they will be are my first call.  In fact, they will be doing some door replacement and decking work for me in the near future.  This was an awesome experience!  Kudos to John, the family and crew!"

"Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."

"We weren't that happy with the results. It was a few years ago, and the surface is still pretty much intact. He had to use a primer and deck paint, rather than stain, and the primer showed through in several places as bright white marks against the dark brown stain. He left the extra paint so we could refinish where we wanted. We don't want or expect any follow up at this time. I understand that the deck needed a lot more work than the worker expected. So, my experience may not be a fair representation of this particular contractor.
