Mark Ellis the owner met with us in October and worked with us to determine exactly what we wanted to do.  He helped us select tile, flooring,  countertops, and sinks  After talking with Mark we also decided to replace our 20+ year old high water use toilet too.

About 10 days later, Mark's crew (all long-time employees) arrived and set to work.  Out came shower walls, old carpet, toilet, vanities, countertops and sinks.

Over the next five weeks everything was rebuilt with care and precision.  There of course, was a lot of dust and mess but Mark's crew was as careful as they could be. Like most people who remodel, we had our share of "while you are at it..." requests for Mark.  He and crew were unfailingly cheerful and willing to do the extra work we wanted done.  That being said of course the job cost more because we wanted more.  Fair enough!

Mark and his crew had to be creative a few times, for example, the bathroom was originally carpeted and we wanted wood grain vinyl l flooding.  This left quite a gap between the new flooring and the baseboards. Mark's crew installed quarter round molding which solved the problem and looked great.

When the job was nearing completion, I wrote out a long list of little things I wanted corrected, touched-up etc.  Everything was fixed just as I wanted.

The finished bathroom is just gorgeous!  The shower stall has beautiful tile walls and floor with a glass wall on one side and big glass to replace the original door. The granite counter top is beautiful, and the new water conserving toilet works absolutely great.(They've come a long ways with those!)  Mark uses Moen fixtures; great quality and beautiful.

Euro Flooring came to us highly recommended and now we see why.

We will definitely use this company again!

"They did an excellent job for a fair price. Used them years ago to replace my flat roof. I got 3 bids to replace the tile roof and theirs was very competitive and I had confidence from my previous experience. Owner is super responsive."

"Chris was one of 3 contractor we received estimates from. He was also the only one that stayed with us. We had never done a project like this before and as we had make changes he others lost interest. Chris stuck with us and was helpful in discussing the changes. When the project stated Chris was their everyday either doing he work or introducing us to the speciality subs. He also came back each day to check the progress and ensure daily cleanup. The job included removing tub and tile, converting to walk-in shower, complete retile, toilet replacement, floor tile removal and replace, new lights and new bath exhaust fan. The job turned out just as we wanted. We will definitely be calling Chris for future projects."

"The workmanship was flawless and the job was completed when promised. I have recommended Rick Fisher - Visual Landscape Design to several friends/ associates and hope they use his services. The service was professional and I would certainly use in the future if I had any landscaping needs. In addition to the patio an area between the sidewalk and the street **I live on a corner** was cleared of weeds and a ground covering and mulch were used to fill it in completely. The ground covering is growing nicely and it completely eliminates the need for me to endlessly cut, weed, etc. I absolutely love my yard after the improvements done by Visual Landscape Designs! Thank you so much Mr. Fisher, and so sorry it took me so long to post a compliment because you totally deserve it!!"

"Sometimes Robert is busy but he is worth the wait and that is proven by the quality of the work. Robert and Nelson did most of the work on our house and they did an excellent job. They were always open to a little feedback here and there but they really didn't need much because they are so good at what they do. They painted everything just the way we wanted it done. Their work was very neat. Even though the work took about 10 days they cleaned up after every day and were very careful with our property as they worked through the project. Robert is also quick to communicate with you if he encounters any issues or if he has questions about the work.   We love the colors and the quality of the work that was performed."

"The owner Ira came out to do the estimate. He was very professional and seems to know the products and industry. We had a few issues, but overall the finished job is beautiful and I'm glad we did it. Issues: The stone samples provided were not sealed, so it was impossible for me to know what the final color would be. Be prepared for either a surprise, or ask Ira for addresses where the product is installed and sealed. I'm glad I did. We had a very specific schedule to work by. My husband needed to be here on the day of grading so he could deal with a drain pipe that had to be moved, and we made this point clear when we were scheduling it. My husband took the day off to be home, but the guys only showed up that day to start work at 3-4PM and only got as far as clearing. The grading did not get done on that day. The grading did not get done as we asked for it to. We wanted the entire patio to slope away from the house. The first good rainstorm after the installation revealed that just a 'v' like indentation was made to divert the water. It starts from the screened-in area back door and runs to an edge. I fear that we might end up with water inside the house with an extended rainstorm or hurricane. As I stated earlier, the patio is beautiful. The biggest issue I have is the grading."

"I can't express enough how wonderful the experience was with Barnhardt Construction. I called Chris after talking to 3 other concrete companies that offered to do concrete leveling but all told me that it would take 2-4 weeks before they could come out and help me. I was in a time crunch because I had contracted with Home Depot to perform a laminate floor installation and their installers refused to to a section of the floor because it was too far out of their specifications (under 1/2" was the most they could do). When I first talked with Chris, he started to tell me how busy he was and that he couldn't help out, but quickly reversed himself and got in touch with one of his sub contractors. Julio came out the next day and had to travel about 35 miles one way to reach our house. He quickly measured what he needed to do and called Chris to give me a quote. Chris offered a VERY fair quote and I had Julio proceed to do the leveling that day. Because the Home Depot installers seemed fairly fussy, I also had Chris give me a backup quote on installation should the Home Depot guys balk at the work that Julio did. Again, he gave me another very fair quote (as compared to the Home Depot installation). At this writing, I don't know if I will need to use Chris/Julio to install the flooring, but it's comforting to know that Chris has my back. Julio was great, polite, professional and very communicative of what he was doing and why. Chris was exceptionally responsive and professional during the process. I would VERY highly recommend Chris for any of the work that he does. Very satisfied and will definitely use him again should I need any contractor services in the future."

"Everything went great! The project took about 2 weeks. The old tar/gravel roof was removed and a new metal roof was installed on 3/4 of the house. The other 1/4 required TPO since it was a completely flat area. A lot of the old wood had to be replaced due to the age and termite activity. Flashing up around the chimney is holding up great and a part of my old rainwater collection gutter system was even reinstalled on the new roof. The fascia and soffit looks great too. We've been through 5-6 rain storms already and there has been no leaks. The wood around the garage was replaced and then the whole thing was wrapped in vinyl for a clean look. Two end features on the peak of the house were wrapped as well and it made the house look very clean and neat. As for cleanup, for the most part all went well. As can be expected, a few old roofing nails were found, but not that many. A few short pieces of metal roofing and a few leftover panels were left behind as well as a bag of screws. (We made a shed with them) Overall we were very satisfied. Other roofing companies we called were quoting us $18-20K without the addition of the extra wood and the cost of the fascia/soffit or the garage repair."
All of the doors and windows were replaced by National HomeCraft.
