"Approximately 7-9 months ago we got an estimate so we knew how much money we needed for the siding to be installed. We got the money and I couldn't remember who gave us the quote, but when I called Mr. S Roofing and Siding, He remembered us and honored the quote from before. How cool is that in this day and age. I was about to go with him when another contractor offered to do it for less. So unfortunately I did not go with him on this, but I will use him on my next project. I owned a construction company for 32 years and I retired a couple of years ago and I have done all the repairs around my house and got kinda board so I have started doing handyman jobs and I can do just about anything that has to do with construction. "Everything was done very well. The painting took a few days because it was done by just one person. Painting the doors & trim requires the door to remain open for a few hours to dry, so I am glad there weren't any mosquitoes or extremely cold weather."

"We called to request Lone Star Solar Screens to come out and give us an estimate for screens for our whole home.  They were able to come out the next day to give us an estimate.  We called another provider we found on Angie's list but due to the many storms in our area the provider told us he "might" be able to come give an estimate the following week.  

Robert with Lone Star provided us an estimate broken down with prices for screens with the decorative grids and also without the grids.  He also offered to break the bid down showing the cost for only the front of the house and then back of the house in case we wanted to have the job done in phases.  

The bid was very competitive and the screens also come with a life time warranty.

Once we placed our order for the screens, we were told it would take 7 to 10 days for screens to be made then we would be called to set up installation date.  To our surprise we had our screens installed in less than a week for ordering them.  They look great, are easy to see through and make a big difference in the temperature of our den which faces west and one whole wall is windows.

"The quote process was easy, no high pressure "buy now or the price goes up". The price was much more reasonable than other companies I got quotes from, the owner/salesman seemed very honest and delivered when he promised. When the windows arrived I noticed 1 missing on installation day, one of the bathroom windows with translucent glass was late arriving so that had to be scheduled at a later date while we waited for that one to arrive. The crew showed up when promised. They did leave some mess in the front-side yard, they forgot 3 of the screens during the demo on the side of the house and I did find lots of broken glass in the flowerbeds after they finished which I cleaned. Inside though, they thoroughly cleaned and vacuumed up their mess. Some of the caulking could have been better. The first 14 windows took 2 days, they came back later to install the bathroom window which was done in about an hour. The product itself is very nice, I purchased the vinyl, double pane, that tilted in to clean easily."

"DAV Construction was hired to replace a damaged roof and gutters. They did a professional job of discussing the bid with me. However, this was more than a roofing job. I had an issue with water seeping through my second floor brick that continued to damage my interior and patio cover. We all thought it was a poor trim installation. Alex took a hard core position of helping me correct the problem. We had to repair any openings in the existing brick and applied a water sealant. I even had a phone call several months later after a heavy rain storm to see if we had any visible leaks. All was good and the extra effort was was high on the scale of taking care of the customer. I would personally recommend Alex and his team to anyone."

"Rob and his team are truly amazing! They came in and efficiently installed a root block in our backyard on a Thursday. The following Tuesday they returned and installed a drainage system for our backyard with three catch basins and run off into the street. In the front yard they cut the grass into sod pieces before digging the trench and when finished replaced the grass making it almost imperceptible that they had done the job. Rob is an encyclopedia of information about trees and landscaping and he is always willing to share what he knows. I highly, highly recommend hiring him and his team (some of whom have been with him 16 years) He is honest, knowledgeable, and very fairly priced!"
