"We contacted Sunny Lee in November about hail damage to our SFH this summer. He assessed the roofing damage & later was present when the 3rd party inspector from the insurance company came out. Ultimately my claim was approved at 100%, less deductible, for replacement of the entire roof. Sunny kept in contact by phone or stopping by our house to explain the process, select the shingles & schedule the work. He handled the claim paperwork on his end. It was pretty seamless. From signing the contract to the new roof installation took about a month. The installation of the roof was accomplished in one day by a 7-man crew. Sunny supervised the delivery of the shingles & accessories as well as the final installation & cleanup. He came back the next day to further remove any stray nails from our property. Overall we are quite pleased with the job & process & couldn’t recommend him more highly."

"Outstanding. The job was originally estimated at one day but it soon turned into three full days. Every board that was cut and every shingle that was nailed was done in a highly professional manner. The roof is literally better than new. After raking the lawn could not come up with a single nail, the cleanup was that good. The roof itself was quoted at $5100 plus the additional plywood as needed. Another firm quoted a price including all needed plywood that was at least $500 more and did not include the finish coat of paint on the windows. The total cost was $9500 but that included an extensive amount of carpentry work (both roof plywood and window framing) at what I considered a reasonable price. An added bonus is we have enclosed gutters. The old roof the rain would bounce off the top of the gutters and could be very noisy at times, the new roof is very quiet. Roof color matches the paint scheme for the house and the installation was first rate. Price, quality, timeliness, could not have been better. Would definitely use this company again and would be happy to tell my neighbors. Two other quotes we received were higher as noted above and one couldn't supply the exact shingle color we wanted."

"After years of unsuccessfully addressing water damage around windows in an upstairs room by focusing on the window frames and the brickwork around the windows, I asked W. E. Griffin Roofing (whom I had used previously for relatively minor roofing repairs) to evaluate whether the roof was a factor. Matt Hoffman determined that significant work had to be done including substantially rebuilding two dormers, removing and replacing valleys and flashing, and replacing the roof on the dormers. As in the case of previous and subsequent jobs, Griffin's work crew was very professional and conscientious at all times. They cleared all rubble and tools from the site every day, and the job was started and completed on schedule. In the 4 years since this work was done and the interior water damage repaired, there has been no further sign of water damage in that room. I completely trust the advice I have received from Matt Hoffman over the past 7 years since I first used W. E. Griffin. In addition to the work described above as well as routine preventive maintenance, I have also engaged the company to repair gutters, replace incorrectly installed snow guards, replace failed chimney flashing, fabricate and install catch boxes to prevent leaf blockage of downspouts, as well as routine preventive maintenance. "Samantha, from Central Exteriors, was very nice. She understood with the upcoming rain, a repair was urgent. She scheduled Walter to come to our house the same day to make the repairs. Walter came out, explained exactly what he was going to do, and took care of the issue. He showed us how the bolts used were too short, causing the issue. He explained that using caulk to patch the holes would have only been a temporary fix, so he replaced the shingles. You can't even tell now there was a satellite dish there at one time."

"Joe our service person responded to our request and came out to inspect our roof early the next morning. He explaned what our current problems are and also what we can expect in the future. He did not try to sell us on a new roof. He only suggested the repairs to the areas where we are currently getting a leak and to other areas that are about to start leaking. "We received a drive-by visit in early September from Presidential Exteriors canvassing the neighborhood and while we knew we were living on borrowed time, with our roof last replaced before 1991, we don't do business with companies we don't know and trust. In this case I said no thank you, and the canvasser made a last comment that struck a chord, to look them up online. After checking their references, even though a fairly new company, they had very positive feedback in Angie's List. I then called and made an appointment and my wife and I were impressed with the salesperson, Ben (we've never had someone climb around the unfinished attic in completing their assessment) for his knowledge, genuineness, detail, and approach, and we signed a contract to renovate our roofing with architectural tiles and to install wider gutters (all in preparation for global warming). Over two days, the crew of two performed an amazing job at removing multiple layers of very old shingles (resulting in less full shingles being removed, and mostly partially torn pieces) and the care and cleanup left the full area around the house and bushes almost clean. Understandably, with any re-roofing I cannot imagine you wouldn't have some small amount of cleanup and a few full handfuls of nails and staples over the following months. In our case, in the subsequent week we have found over 60 nails so far using our own magnetic broom (purchased at Home Depot). The third day found the crew finishing the roofing and the other contractors arriving to remove and install the new gutters. So far, the new roof and rain gutters look great and we're cautiously awaiting the approaching storm season."
