"The job went pretty good. The only glitch is the guys that installed were not updated, or aware of a boundary line adjustment discussed between the primary company liaison and myself. Hence, when they installed they did so according to original paperwork. :( However, after I contacted the company about the matter, and spoke with my liason, even though an entire fence side needed to be adjusted _ they were willing to do so. The overall workmanship and services otherwise were good, so a tip was given in lite of the day they had to come out and adjust the fence. It was worth it all."

"My neighbor hired this company to install a new fence around their entire backyard and to remove the old fence. Our neighbors rent their house out so they were not there when the fence was installed. I own the house on one side of theirs and I was at home during the install. The crew did not appear to speak to english when I tried to talk to them, I cautioned them several times about places the heavy debri on top of the owners drainage system and I was ignored. The workers also came into MY backyard without asking permission, They were using my gate to enter and leave my yard and have broken the gate. It no longer latches shut. In addition, they removed at least some of the old posts by sawing them and leaving the remains in the ground and just digging new holes for the post. This has caused a huge issue for me as the owner of the house nextdoor. Our lots are on a hill and now all the yard debri is actually washing thru the fence into my yard. The holes from the original fence were never filled in and the concrete that was poured for the new post is all over my yard. My dry river bed now needs to be repaired as a result of this company (it is adjacent to the fence). I have reached out to the company and provided pictures and they have not gotten back to me. I am very upset that I am going to have to pay money to have my yard and gate fixed due to a fence that this company installed on my neighbors yard. Bewarned about the crews that this company employees and their lack of caring about your personal property or your neighbors. Update: After posting the initial review, the owner reached out to me. He came out with a crew and fixed the fence gate. They said the lawn issues are due to settling (the yards are on a hill) and I would need to contact the owner of the house or just fix that myself."

Delivered to specs. - Installation crew was friendly, worked quickly. - Process of getting the initial quote and then revised quotes was efficient. - Price was in line with market, competitive Issues - We were told 1-2 weeks lead time, it ended up being 5-6 weeks lead time. - We had an issue with regard to how the fence fit with the retaining wall that we wanted resolved. The salesperson seemed to question the issue, rather than understanding the additional work we wanted done and why we were not satisfied. We subsequently did get a quote for additional work, but decided not to proceed with it. - The team did not ask how to deal with electrical wiring that went along the fence. And post-installation, they left a live electrical outlet hanging out onto the sidewalk - which was a safety hazard. Was not their job to address the electric, but still should have been handled more carefully. - Payment terms are favorable to the company. They took partial payment up front while I waited for 5-6 weeks, but then were very aggressive about immediate payment, seeming more concerned about getting paid day-of before even understanding if I considered the work done or was satisfied."

They even had to remove more brush in order to keep the fence as straight as possible as we have a lot of trees. The team was fast efficient and went above our expectation of completing the fence the same day."

"Because Ritter Fence LLC had installed our fence 15 years ago, we invited Steve Ritter, to give us an estimate on some new privacy fencing. Early this spring, he came to our home to measure for the fencing and then again, to bring a sample of the cap board. Each time he was punctual. Mr. Ritter's estimate was quite reasonable for "cedar," so we later decided to request an additional estimate for removing and resurfacing two decks as well. On this occasion, in May, he measured for materials for the decks and stated he would get these estimates to us at a later date. At the same visit Mr. Ritter brought a contract along with him for the fence; however, in the meantime a check with the Maryland Home Improvement Commission (MHIC) revealed that his MHIC license had expired. He stated that he was unaware that had happened. He asked for a deposit on the fence and set up an install date; but we refused to sign the contract until he reinstated his license. Early in September I contacted the MHIC to find that Ritter Fence LLC's license still had not been reinstated. In a call to Mr. Ritter that day, he stated that he hopes to have the license reinstated this November. You be the judge. We will seek estimates elsewhere. Our patience ran out. Fence estimate only since never received deck estimates."
