"Paul is by far the best contractor that we have ever worked with on any job in our home (and we've worked with 2 others in the past 2 years). Paul was tasked with a complete bathroom remodel in our condo in downtown Chicago. He gave us a reasonable quote when we first met to discuss the job and a very reasonable timeline to completion. The entire job was done within 8 weeks and any minor delays were very effectively communicated to us (and with good reason). Most importantly, Paul gained our trust throughout the job. He is responsive, honest, knowledgeable, punctual and generally a really nice guy who you trust to be in your home doing the job as promised. "We used Above & Beyond Construction to gut and remodel one full and one half bathroom in our 1960-built house. This was our first big home remodeling project and we couldn’t have been happier with the results. Chester and his crew were easy to work and communicate with, kept us updated with timing and progress, and identified additional issues that needed to be addressed (aka some really nasty old corroded cast iron pipes and cracked joists in our basement) to prevent future catastrophes. If we hadn’t fixed them we know we’d have ended up having to rip out the beautiful new bathroom within 6 months due to the failure of the old plumbing! They take pride in their work and take care to protect the rest of the house from dust and dirt, completely clean up the work site at the end of every day, and we had no problem trusting any of them in the house when we couldn’t be home. They did everything asked of them with great attention to detail. The dust was minimal from the sanding because they used professional equipment. Before they left every day they did an excellent job of cleaning. I would highly recommend this company for any flooring job. Then I met the crew John, Mike and Ziggy. We had a great relationship. Everything that was to be accomplished was explained to me on a daily bases. "Angelo Pecoraro, the owner of A.P. Builder, was a pleasure to work with from start to finish on our major remodeling project of adding a sunroom to our home. Out of many contractors I called to get an estimate, he was the only one willing to provide options to have the project fit our budget. Once we agreed to move forward, he worked diligently with the architect and village to get the permits finalized (which is a difficult task in my town). Once the work started, he provided almost daily updates of the work that will be completed and any anticipated inspections (which we passed easily). He also reached out himself to finalize details from big items like windows to small ones like the molding. The result was a beautiful sunroom and deck which I receive compliments on regularly.
