"Ever Dry came in and waterproofed the foundation - installed sump pump and air purifier. They had to dig in the crawl space to lay the drainage for the pump. The job was completed in two days. I was amazed with the service and care they showed for our home and property. I would recommend them to everyone who needs this type of work done."

"First I went with another one but they recommended Katz because they were overwhelmed with their own problems so they said they wouldn't be able to get to me as quickly as I needed. I called Katz and they were phenomenal. I had no problem. They came out, they were right on time, they did the job really quickly, explained everything from why he was doing what he was doing and did it really well. Their office worked with me when I was working my insurance on it. They said that insurance isn't snappy enough and I needed to make a payment because I had a deductible and they worked with me on that. The insurance finally came through pretty quickly. It wasn't a bad experience at all. Their worker was right out there and he was the one who explained everything. He went down and with every little step he did he explained it well, why and how come. Everything went good. They worked in the field and at the office. They were really cooperative, understanding and helpful. Their workmanship was phenomenal, on time work, and they did not leave a mess. They actually saved me money by being careful when he took the well part out. He said usually these old cast iron tops break about 50% of the time and ours didn't luckily. I haven't had one done by anybody else so I don't really have a complaint. I thought it was reasonable. That name is mentioned by users around here. That's another plus for Katz. From what I have heard from other people, their price is right in the ballpark of what the ongoing rate is around here so I think they were not high or they were not like some backyard guy that was really low. I think they were professional and right in the middle. I don't have any problem with what they charge. My insurance paid their share and I paid my share and it was done. If you did it all yourself, you wouldn't be able to do it because you don't have the tools but the price of the pumps and parts, I think they were pretty reasonable. The lady at the office was willing to work with me financially if I needed it and the guy at the field was right on the spot and worked with me that way. They hauled off all the junk stuff. He was there before I got there. I told him to call me when he is on his way out there to my brother's house and he got there and was already taking stuff before I even arrived. He was quick and efficient and he had 6 more wells to do that day so I thought it was pretty good."

"<p>Joe Johnson exchanged the pressure tank, and the pressure switch before we discovered it was the check valve. He only charged labor for the valve replacement. He was professional, knowledgeable and I was very happy with his pricing and work. I would HIGHLY recommend him for all your well needs from installing to trouble shooting.  </p> <br /> <br /> <br />"

"Excellent. Flawless work and managed to find a Grohe part in a day (which is a line Helmus does not carry). They were shorthanded so the service manager Danny Snyder came out within a business day of my call (nothing was urgently broken). Danny offered me several options for each repair taking into account upcoming remodels, he was ver personable and interested in puzzling out some of the problems I had been noticing. I felt completely comfortable leaving him to finish the job and lock up behind himself."

"when tech showed up the dryer seemed to be working and heating however it did not when I called, seemed the heating element was cracked creating and off and on working condition. I went ahead to repair the problem by purchasing a new heating element. I was surprised however that the tech expected me to pay in full before he ordered the part and repaired the problem, but I did using my credit card knowing if there was a issue the credit card co. would have my back, The part was order and Alex fixed it as soon as it came in and was great"

"It was good. I had a set sum to work with and they were willing to reduce their price a little bit to stay within the price range. They were friendly, polite and on time. They came out and did a good job. I am not really that much of an expert in this field so I really couldn't tell you that something was properly, but it was good from what I can see."

"It went very well. I contacted B-Dry and I was able to set up an appointment for an estimate very easily. While setting up the appointment, they let me know they had done a similar repair on the house back in 2001 (two owners ago), and that repair has held up to time. I scheduled the appoinment, they showed up on-time and completed the repair of the new crack that was letting water in. They also threw in chipping out some 'honeycombing' in the foundation that would very rarely let a trickle of water into the basement at no extra charge. While it hasn't rained yet since they repaired of the new crack, given that the 2001 repair hasn't given me any issues, I'm very confident that the new repair will hold up well. Overall, they did a great job!"

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Battle Creek, MI

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
