"Contractor cleaned the chimney but it seemed like he did not want to replace the cap. Quote a large figure to just replace the cap that had blown off the top of my chimney. I chose not to have him replace the cap. I would probably hire again but annoyed that he seemed like he did not want to replace my chimney cap."

"I have used Century Chimney Sweep & Repair for 19 years. This company is the most ethical company I have ever encountered and they also completely honest and professional. Their technicians/sweeps are CSIA certified, which gives me further assurances they are competent. Way back in the day, Gary (owner) cleaned, repaired and improved my chimneys and as his company expanded, the quality always stayed the same, so I can wholeheartedly recommend this company. They also stand 100% behind their work, so if a warranty issue/claim, etc., ever arises, they 100% stand behind their work and always put their customer's safety and needs 1st -- a rare thing in today's business climate."

"Highly recommended! I called with multiple questions- needed tuckpointing on two chimneys, chimney caps to keep out the raccoons, and an inspection/cleaning of an old wood-burning stove. Scott came out for an inspection and gave me great advice- namely that I would need major repairs and updates to safely use the stove- so he advised me against spending the money to clean it unless I intended to commit to the rest of the project. Scott took his time and explained quite a bit to me. I was in a bit of a hurry to get the chimney work done because I had my new roof on hold waiting for the chimney repairs. Brian came out within a day or two to give me an estimate, then was able to sneak me into his schedule for the next week. Each time they said they would be there, they were. And everything was thoroughly cleaned up before they left! I have two awkwardly placed chimneys and had received multiple repair estimates. Some refused the job, others gave me estimates which were much higher than Good Knight's Sweep. One contractor wanted me to rent a manlift for $1000. Scott and Brian set up scaffolding- off of my upper deck for one of the chimneys, around the power lines for the other- and somehow made it look easy. Brian did the tuckpointing and replaced the crowns on two chimneys- the work was pristine, and they even went back up at the end of the day to clean up a small drip that I never would have noticed. Scott dropped a mothball in the chimneys to keep the raccoons out, then replaced the caps. I have had multiple consultations on how to get the raccoons out long enough to cap the chimneys, all were ridiculously expensive and involved trapping/killing the raccoons- so this solution was amazing. Fees for the caps were also lower than other quotes I received. Finally, I just want to say that these are such nice guys! Scott removed an old antenna that was on my roof and hauled it away. Brian cleaned up some unsightly discoloration on the side of my home that the HVAC guys had left. They could have easily said "sure, I'll do it for $50" or whatever- but both things were done really just as a favor. I'm not someone that normally writes reviews, but honestly just can't say enough good things about these guys. If you need any type of chimney or fireplace work, just call them and look no further."

"Morriah and her team did an excellent job cleaning the gutters! They were fast, professional, and courteous. Morriah took the time to explain all of our options for replacement gutter guards. She was very straight forward and gave me an estimate lightning fast! Super affordable cleaning service! Quite honestly, you can't beat it! Will definitely be using them in the future and will recommend to family and friends!"

"I didnt want to do this job myself because it was too high for me to work comfortably. <br /> But also, the City wanted it inspected for safety. <br /> The guy that did the inspection was very pleasant. But what got him the job was: <br /> 1) that he didnt trying to talk me into more repair than what was needed <br /> 2) educated me on the causes of the current issues <br /> 3) talked me OUT of repairs I thought might be needed, but were not. <br /> That, is a big deal. <br /> So with the inspection in hand, I felt I had found the correct company, to do the needed repairs. <br /> 5 days later a different guy returned to do the work and it was complete in just a couple hours. <br /> They rebuilt the triple crown, replaced the top pipe of one and then installed the stainless steel caps. <br /> One small issue is they should have cleaned up the debris that fell down the chimney. <br /> Several people have commented on how nice it looks and I say it looks much better than the majority of home around me. <br /> <br /> NOTE: Price is and quot;Band quot; because I did get other estimates to compare. Quality is and quot;Band quot; do to clean-up <br /> . <br />"

"It went great. We contacted Tim at the store, and scheduled a service date and time. Tim took it upon himself to contact us the following day, to let us know that he could send a technician to our house even sooner, which we thought was pretty awesome. On the rescheduled day, our technician Mike called and let us know when he was 10 or 15 minutes away and he arrived when he said he would. Mike was courteous, friendly and very professional. He completed the job in short order and cleaned up afterward. (We have beige carpeting near the fireplace and you couldn't even tell he had been there-which made my bride very happy.) He answered all of our questions and made some good suggestions regarding the care and maintenance of our unit. Mike treated our home like it was <em>his</em> home, which earned him a <em>rock star</em> rating from us! We would definitely recommend The Place, if you ever need a Heat -n-Glow unit serviced. For lack of a better phrase, they're the bomb! <br />"

"<p>I contacted Jilek Roofing by e-mail in February 2014 because my house was ready for a new roof plus it was leaking into the garage. They contacted me the next day and came out to have a look. They called me right away and explained what was causing the leak and I asked for an estimate. Shortly thereafter they dropped off a very nice professional folder which contained the estimate plus their credentials, certifications, and product information.</p> <p>I accepted their offer and they also agreed to repair a rotted gutter board and replace a piece of missing soffit on the back of the house at no charge. They said they would start as soon it warmed up to about 40°. They started the job the first week of April and were done in two days which I was happy with because I thought it would take longer when having a tear-off done.</p> <p>The new roof looked absolutely beautiful but I noticed one thing that didn't look quite right. Some of the shingles along the front edge were not lying flat and had "humped" look. I mentioned it to them and they said once it warms ups and we get some warm sunny days they will flatten out, so I figured I'd wait and see. More later.</p> <p> As time went by and I had a chance to view the house every day returning from getting the mail. I noticed that a short piece of gutter and the splash guard in the corner where the house meets the garage were bent and banged up. The gutter piece was also not sitting level and was almost at the same angle as the slope of the roof. Apparently they needed to remove the gutter during the roofing process and it was reinstalled forcefully and sloppily. I shined a flashlight inside the gutter when it was dark outside and I could see gaps in the seams by the light shining through the gaps. Now it leaks like crazy whenever it rains.</p> <p>I contacted them in August 2014 and asked them to fix the shingles and the gutter. They came out immediately and fixed the shingles by trimming my gutter screens which apparently were causing the shingles to not lay flat. They replaced the splash guard but did absolutely nothing to fix the gutter and it still looks really bad.<br /> <br /></p> <br />"

"Overall it went well.  He showed up when he said he would, he always responded to any messages left in a timely manner and they worked as often as they could.  It has been a very rainy season so it took longer than expected because of weather issues.  <br />"
