"B&P Chimney folks are awesome. I called them up on Monday evening to get an estimate for Chimney cleaning/repair and they came by on Wednesday to take a look at the current condition. I was pleased to know that the owner Paul was personally there to help/do the work. Before even talking about the estimate, he and his employee inspected the fireplace, boiler, and the chimney. They even took pics of my chimney from the roof to show me what he was explaining. Glad to know that there are still honest people out there. He recommended just the very basic must do things and let me choose other things I asked. Absolutely no pressure or upsell of his services, infact he recommended me to check with fireplace company before putting chimney liners if it's really required(he does chimney liners too). They were professional, courteous and did a great job the same day they came to give me quote, how awesome is that. They are highly recommended."

Initially I thought that I only needed a chimney cap installed, but after a careful inspection of my chimney, it was found that a crumbling and deteriorating lining of my chimney interior wall had occurred leaving a potentially dangerous situation in my house. The reason this rating isn't higher is because the crew chief had been in my house no more than 10 minutes before diagnosing what he said was a dangerous level of creosote in our chimney and recommending installation of a $1,000+ chimney liner, which his company would of course be happy to sell us. I said no, thanks. The next year I hired another service - Emener ([*** Link removed ***] - which told me that the chimney was actually in good shape and pretty clean considering how much we use the fireplace. 5 Star clearly used its promotional offer as a way to upsell an expensive add-on that I am now convinced wasn't needed. Beware of deals that look too good to be true."

"I called Mike on a Monday. When our schedules didn't work out for a meet up he gave me an estimate through Facetime and offered to start the work the very next day. 
Mike ordered a dumpster and it was delivered on time on Tuesday morning. The workers (3) arrived at my house on time and worked through some pretty harsh weather. They finished the project in one day (about 8 hours). 
The roof repair isn't the prettiest, but so far it has held up.
By nature chimney demo is a VERY messy job. The dust was everywhere in the house but to no fault of their own. The workers were careful not to damage the floors, walls, doors or windows around their debris path.
Overall, I'm satisfied with the service they provided and was very impressed with how quickly they were able to start work.
