"Needed an additional section of our basement finished. By far one of the best contractors we have worked with on a project. From the time we had the first call to the time the job was finished these guys were on point. Rob was great to work with, very responsive and delivered exactly what we agreed upon. Quality of work was excellent. Would definitely hire again."

"I am so thrilled with the work. The transformation to my basement was amazing. Rob does excellent work. I would highly recommend Rob. His rates are fair, and he is honest, reliable, conscientious, and clean. His sub-contractors were very good as well as his assistant. I am in the process of scheduling Rob to remodel my master bathroom in a couple of months. I would highly recommend Rob and his company, Be Blessed Remodeling."

Customers say: Quick response

"Mostaed Listened to what I wanted and the results were amazing g and better then what I had expected. His crew is amazing - working fast but very efficiently and often showing me a better way to improve my design They were very talented and workmanship was top notch. My new bathroom is beautiful and better than I ever thought. They have also remodeled my basement- which is now totally amazing - they did a though inspection of the walls - found leaks and replaced/ added insulation- which I never would have known about. The room is so much warmer now and looks beautiful. I am definitely having Mostaed do more remodeling to my home. He is dependent , listens to all your ideas- no matter how crazy and works with you to find the results you want. I would definitely recommend him to remodel any room in your home "

"We cannot say enough great things about Tristate Complete Home Repair! We just finished up a partial renovation of the interior of our Hoosier Homestead farmhouse, and Tristate did a fabulous job! The house had spent decades under the care of our aging parents, so it needed a lot of careful attention to update nearly everything without compromising the unique historical beauty of the house. Owner Tim of Tristate brought decades of renovation experience to our project, leading a crew of workers representing all the trades. This meant fewer delays and mistakes on our project. No regrets here. We look forward to future work from Tristate!"

FAQs for basement remodeling projects in Beavercreek, OH

Finishing a basement turns unused square footage into livable space and returns up to 70% of what you spend when you sell your home. Beyond that resale boost, you gain a playroom, home office, or guest suite you can start enjoying right away. That mix of daily comfort and solid return on investment (ROI) makes basement finishing one of the smartest upgrades you can tackle.

In some parts of the country—especially lots on swamps, high water tables, or other wetlands—local codes prohibit basements. Saturated soil puts constant pressure on foundation walls and lets water seep in faster than any sump pump can handle.

If your property sits on waterlogged ground, building on a slab or crawl space is often safer, more affordable, and code-compliant.

Most basements wrap up in four to eight weeks. Framing takes three to five days, with electrical and plumbing rough-ins following over the next week. Add five days for drywall, two to three for flooring, and another week for paint, trim, and punch-list items.

Delays can happen if materials run late or your contractor’s calendar is packed, so build in a little cushion when you plan.

Whether a finished basement counts toward your home’s official square footage depends on local rules. Many areas only include below-grade space if it has code-approved egress, fully finished walls, ceilings, and floors, plus consistent heating.

Check with your local assessor or building department before you start; meeting those standards can affect taxes, appraisals, and resale value.

Building codes require a checklist: dedicated heat and electrical service, a code-approved stairway, and at least one egress window or exterior door. Walls, ceilings, and floors must be fully finished and meet insulation, ventilation, and fire-separation standards. If you add a bedroom, you’ll also need a closet, proper clearances, and safe exits. If you change the layout later, be ready to update the space so every new room still meets today’s code.
