"I am new to this whole Home Advisor thing and after I was applaud by other companies I went for it. Tom Brown from Brown Bothers set up an estimate with great timing and was early to the meeting. He was very thorough and even commented on issues he saw that were dangerous. 2 bids were sent (one for just house grounding and one for whole electrical panel replacement and grounding). We went with both and he was early again to the install. A payment plan was created as I am disabled and limited budget. I am in my 50's so I want to know all I can about what is up with my house. Tom was extremely knowledgeable and personable. He was open to me to ask questions and learn as well. Plus while he worked we were able to just chew the fat without hesitation of the work. Tom is the soul example of a perfectionist. The old circuit breaker was a horrific mess!! By the time it was all done it looked like the house was built THAT DAY with everything so neat and tidy I could see the excellence in his work. And his personality showed not only professionalism but also down to earth with a good heart (not seen very much nowadays). Now onto the real heart of what a great professional and man Tom is! My wife and I had an emergency come up and we were hit financially. I addressed this to Tom and he and I set up a time to make the next payment when I could. He could have said no and demanded the next payment as per scheduled but he showed compassion and understanding, bringing this old bear of a guy to his knees with tears of happiness to be treated with care and respect. Would I refer Tom and his company to anyone in need? The answer is a resounding YES!! You want a job well done and have a great guy to chat with then call Brown Bothers. They will treat you right!!"

"Techs on Site: Uriel and Dan These guys were freakin awesome! I thought the price for work was fair comparative to the market. However, the Techs made it worth every penny. They were on time, work was done quickly, they made sure to clean up the site, and they were extremely friendly. They spoke with us to make sure the fans were being placed to our specifications before installing. They made sure to walk us through the remotes for the fans and made sure to show us that there were no balancing issues with the fans. For the troubleshooting/fix, we a few dead outlets, that we could not figure out the cause, Uriel found this issue was a GFI outlet (that seemed to work) that their meter found. If I ever need to hire a licensed electrician I will most definitely hire RK Electric and ask for the same techs, even if I had to wait longer for the work to be completed."

He made a safety fix, on the spot, on a dangerous overheated electrical box and in one hour diagnosed all of our issues and gave us an estimate that we could afford and it was unbelievably reasonable for all of the work and materials it included. They came the next morning and worked non stop for four hours until everything was done. They protected all of our possessions while working, and were experienced, professional, efficient, knowledgeable, and meticulous. They are also thoughtful, generous, and kind. "They had to run another outlet to the kitchen, upgrade the electrical panel, as well as repair/install a new fan in the bathroom. They arrived promptly at noon, and were done by 3pm.Everything works well now, and didn't leave a mess behind. The only thing they couldn't repair was the range hood; I'll have to call another contractor for that. But I definitely got my money's worth, Excellent work!"

"The electrician Dave, called and asked if he could arrive ahead of schedule. He was able to diagnose the non working outlets and replaced the bad GFCI that was the problem. He was able to identify the "mystery light switches" in the utlity shop as going to 220v outlets that aren't in use, and replaced the ballasts on the ceiling lights that weren't coming on. Dave worked quickly, accurately and neatly, including cleaning up the trash from the job. the cost for the work was within the ballpark range I'd estimated."
