"From the first email to the last nail, Bob was the best. It’s rare to find someone who cares so much about the work he does—Bob does. He not only took the time to do things right, he took the time to go over everything with us in detail. Bob replaced a handful of mahogany boards on our deck, installed two new light fixtures—bedroom and front porch— built a fence gate, repaired a broken stair baluster, installed a ceiling fan, replaced a rotted board on our shed, and gave us lots of advice and idea for future projects. The work took almost four days. Bob texted every morning to let us know when he’d arrive. He cleaned up as he went and at the end of each day. The project came to around $4,500. It was money well spent."

"I hired Bob to install a new induction range, replacing a cooktop and cutting some of the stone countertop. He also replaced the existing hood vent with an over-the-range microwave. He was very knowledgeable and was able to do all of the work involved by himself. (Two other people that I spoke with could only do one part of the work and had no idea who could help me with the other parts.) Bob knew exactly what needed to be done and gave me a quote that was very reasonable. He worked with us to figure out how to make it look like everything had originally been installed that way. He showed up on the days he promised and let us know when he was running late (he was only 15 minutes late). "The project went extremely well. Gaby is a consummate craftsman and finish carpenter. As someone who built custom furniture in my early days, I am very familiar with woodworking and can immediately distinguish between good, quality work and Excellent craftsmanship. Gaby fits the latter! He does all the work himself and takes incredible pride in the quality of his work. He built out the shelving in our pantry and when completed, there was an issue with the height of each of the shelves. When I brought the issue to his attention, Gaby apologized profusely and was back at my house within 48 hours to remedy the situation. This is a situation where you get what you pay for! His pricing was a bit high but fair as custom-built cabinets go. The difference is justified in the quality of materials he uses and the attention to every little detail during installation. During COVID, we paid 50% up front so he could purchase the materials right away as the cost of aLL MATERIALS CONTINUED TO SOAR. Gaby is honest, friendly, highly skilled and fin to work with. The only criticism I have is every decision made and agreement made was on a handshake (Old-school). There was not a formal quote or any paperwork other than the drawings from our designer that I provided. He gave me a range on price and of course, when the work was done, it was the higher of the range. We had initially planned for 2 pantries built by Gaby but ended up only needing shelves in a modified pantry that had already existed which my builder had modified. There were no adjustments in his verbal quote or final price. I had wished at the time that it was in writing. Good communication. Always on time and said what he would do and did what he said! "I called terry to see if my counter could be raise as my new dishwasher would not fit where my old one was. I was told I had to either cut the floor or do the counter over He said it would be a lot of work as I have tile that would have to be cut. He then asked if he could try something and guess what he got my dishwasher in with no cutting that the other guy said I had to do. Terry and Dave are the best. Thank you"

"This was our second project with Ace of Boston. Both projects turned out great. This second project, an installation did not come out right the first time, and Ace was very accommodating returning and making everything just right. I would definitely use them again. They earned my trust."

"As I previously wrote I contracted for Marco Polo to do some what I believe was pretty basic work; to paint the exterior of my cedar siding two story home and to do update my 30x20 foot deck. Marco Polo was hired because of the personal recommendation I received about the quality of their work and statement that their pricing was fair. In fact they were very competitive to the other estimates consider for the job. However the true value of their work was revealed after being on site and the prep work was being started two major issues were brought to my attention; the first was my cedar siding had rotted out and I was able to put a pencil into my exterior wall with no effort. The problem was that the original builder of the home failed to put a weather barrier on the underlayment plywood; over time water and snow eventually rotted the plywood away. Marco Polo immediately began to cost engineering solution for me to effectively repair the damage and to make the home better than when I purchased it. The second issue were their true value came to bare was during the repair of my deck; in addition to my desire to make my deck look better I seemed to think that it was settling on the far corner and need “a few boards” to raise it to its previous level . Unknowing to me, my deck was sinking in the soil and given just a few more months my entire deck would have collapsed. Marco Polo was able to immediately provide me with a solution to permanently level my deck once again; they “jacked” the sinking support pillar and with cinder blocks and support beams and poured a solid concrete footer to serve as a “foundation for the support beam; this was ingenious and saved me thousands of dollars in repairs and saved my grill getting destroyed from collapsing with the deck. The remainder of the job had no other issues was completed on time and no other change order’s other than the two (2) requirements I had to address and were unknown to myself or Marco Polo. I personally would have them do any job on my home or that of anyone I know including my mom’s home. They are truly a wonderful company to work with, honest and understand their work ."
