We had to have our existing partially finished basement demolished so we could have french drains and a sump system put in, as well as a geothermal heating/cooling installation accomplished, after having an existing oil burning furnace and radiant heating system removed. The basement restoral project included plumbing and sink replacement, electrical and lighting efficiency upgrades, framing and drywall replacement, door replacements, flooring replacement, and a few decorative additions to give the space some character. The entire process: scoping, design, coordination, execution, and detailed wrap up was accomplished under a great leader and problem solver with highly credible and expert tradesman. "Over three years ago I fortunate to find Taylor Made Custom Contracting to work with on the remodel of my newly purchased 1959 house in Bel Air. Kevin was a joy to work with and totally got the remodel I was trying to do, which was easier said than done. Some of the features I wanted were nontraditional to say the least, and on top of that I had not actually moved into the house yet. Kevin had the additional pressure of working with me long distance! With all of that on the table, the construction job could not have gone more smoothly, thanks to Kevin's flexibility and the skills of the crew, and lots of texts, emails, calls, and photo tours. I did manage to make a couple of trips to visit while the house was under construction, so I was able to see the process from the framework up to the finish. The first thing I noticed was the complete care that the team took with each phase of the remodel, and the beauty of the finished product. In the end, the finished remodel far exceeded my original vision and three years later I am still in love with my new home. "Additional work was needed to take the floor and walls down to studs and joists to remove rotten wood, so work took longer than originally estimated. Some items were back-ordered, adding to the length of the project. Workmanship looks excellent. I am very pleased with the new bath!"

"They just completed a 3-season room and deck for us and it looks great. 5-star rating for the end product for sure. The builders and installers all did a great job. They were friendly and willing to answer any questions I asked. The cleanup crew of one did a fabulous job. The salesman, David Hill, was very helpful and responsive throughout the process. A pleasure to work with for sure. If I were to ignore the fact that we signed the contract in March 2020, at the beginning of what became an unprecedented pandemic, and the build did not complete until February 2021, this review might have been far less positive. We were initially anticipating completion by July 2020. But who’d have known how the pandemic would eventually affect suppliers, inventory availability, inspector availability, and more. There were so many delays that appear to have been out of everyone’s control. Marc, our project manager, seemed overwhelmed at times trying to coordinate all the various activities for this project. Multiply that by all the other projects AES might have had going on at the same time and all the pandemic-caused impacts to suppliers and inspection offices in different jurisdictions with different COVID-19 mandates, I’m sure it was a nightmare. Still, I wish communications and coordination could have been more timely. But job-well done at the end of the day. The wait was worth it."

"Everything from the bidding process, through completion, was handled with the utmost care and professionalism. Dimitri and every person who he brought into our home treated it as anyone would want their own to be treated. This was not a small project. They vaulted the ceiling in the living area, completely removing the roof on half the house, and did a full new roof. Matched the existing red oak hardwood flooring, and sanded/re-stained the entire upstairs. All the plumbing and electrical in the entire house was replace. New kitchen, 3.5 new bathrooms, finished basement, combined two bedrooms to make a master suite. New HVAC. New generator…. You name it, and it was done. When all was said and done, I think our two hall bedrooms were the one walls that weren’t torn down. We could not possibly recommend Dimitri and his company (his two sons work with him as well) any higher. They are honest, and hard working. Old school in all the best ways."

Any change to the original plans are address immediately. The finish product is exactly as planned and discussed with Ted. There are no surprises. What you want is what you will get. My project was completed ahead of schedule and with no changes in budget. I will use TMS in all future projects."
