They have very competitive prices and really stand out by offering a free sink and free installation. The two gentlemen that did my installation were absolutely wonderful. They were meticulousand ensured everything was level and properly supported prior to laying the granite. They laid drop cloths and cleaned behind themselves as they went. I will certainly be recommending this company to anyone looking to purchase granite countertops.

"Vince called me back within hours of my sending him a message through Angie's List.  Even though he does not list Montgomery County as one of his service areas, he was completely willing to help us out.  In my message, I had requested the work to be done onsite but Vince explained why having him pick up the generator and take it back to his shop to work on it would make more sense.  His charge for pick-up and delivery back to us was only $34.95.
When Vince came to pick up the generator, he was on time and was able to give me a ballpark cost for the work (which turned out to be very accurate).  He said that he could get it back to us in 3-4 days but I asked if he could do it faster as there was a snow storm predicted for the next day or so.  Vince agreed to a shorter time line and ultimately got the generator back to us within 1 day!  There ended up being no snow storm but we got our generator back in working condition - along with a booklet of care instructions, a copy of our invoice, and a service history form.  A few days later we received a hand-written Thank You card in appreciation of our business.  I can't imagine how the service could have been any better.  We will use Vince for any future small engine repairs/maintenance we have and highly recommend him and his services.

There was no pressure while browsing and when I made a decision the staff was efficient and professional during the process to select sinks, edge treatment, etc and finalize the paperwork. "I am so pleased with how this turned out. I had an estimate months before and it took a little while for the job to get rolling due to coordination issues with other subcontractors. I live in a co-op building in DC with lots of rules about redoing a bathroom, so I decided to use Miracle Method to refinish the walls and floor tile which would have cost several thousands more to remove. The technician was friendly and prompt, The only hiccup during work was that we had parking issues due to the city deciding to block off two streets around my building with zero notice. But we were able to get those resolved. The timeline changed a little bit prior to the job, and we had made hotel reservations (its our only bathroom and we would have no toilet), so communication could have been better on that front as we had to change our plans on short notice. But they were very easy to work with. The results were stunning-- my bathroom looks brand new. I am going to be hiring them again for the tile in my kitchen. I have also recommended them to several co workers who are doing remodels.

"Very happy with the results and the process was easy and smooth. George Jr showed up to do the consult, he was very friendly and knowledgeable. They were not the lowest quote we received but they were the best at communication and wanting to earn our business. As sales people, my wife and I appreciate professionals that still go out of their way to earn business. They were even able to get in and do the job before the Thanksgiving holiday which was only a few weeks from the consult and was very important to my wife, as we had 14 people coming to Thanksgiving dinner. She is also pregnant and they offered us products that would not be harmful to her or the baby, but she ended up being out of town the days they were here so we stuck to the normal paint, but really appreciated the effort to accommodate us.
   The workers showed up exactly when they said they would. They worked hard and were very fast. I was amazed they finished everything in 2 days considering the size of the area they were painting and the number of cabinets and trim we had. The workers were respectful when moving and covering our belongings before and after painting. They were always laughing and smiling during the job, which is good to see, it hopefully mean they enjoy what they're doing and the quality shows. George and his son would pop in from time to time to check in and make sure everything was going well and that we were happy with the progress.
   All in all, very happy! Would recommend to anyone! If fact, we need new granite.....you know how it goes, first new appliances, which means new paint, which means new counter tops and so forth, but George Jr mentioned they can help us with that and we will probably be giving them our business for that job as well. "Great! Cornelio and his team were on time, cleanly, good work, and worked well with my designer and inspector for a great finished product. He completely gutted an old kitchen and half bath and rebuilt that part of the house as well as installing a small deck off the kitchen. This included electrical, plumbing, structural, insulation etc. He installed cabinets, added decorative elements like beams, floating shelves and a rounded arch. He also added a master bath, that was also of great quality. After this major job, I hired him to do a 'face lift' of my existing bathroom as it looked dingy next to the new work he had done - this work also turned out great and freshened up a very old space."

"I'm very happy with the results of our work and I think working with Oscar gave a nice balance of service, price, and quality. His prices were very competitive compared to other quotes. I've shared a bunch of detail here because I found it hard to make sense of reglazing services as I was shopping. Hope the review helps you. The end results of their services were excellent. The tub and tile look brand new, and the old cracks and chips have basically disappeared. Service was somewhere between good and excellent when you put it all together, just communication was a bit bumpy along the way at times. Oscar stuck with it until we had a plan in place, immediately followed up to get repairs done where the initial work on some of the crack repairs needed improvement, and immediately offered a discount for the inconvenience. Here are a few things to keep in mind. 1) Oscar will provide a quote based on pictures you send. If you have a simple job e.g. reglaze a tub or tile that do not have any cracks, I would expect this to go very smoothly. In my case we had some repairs that needed to happen and the text communication / quote was confusing and took some time to get locked down. 2) There's not a lot of hand holding so you need to get yourself comfortable with how the process works and the results you can expect. It was new for me, so that took some faith. 3) People talk about fumes, needing to get out of the house, etc. I was surprised how little odor there was. They use a fan to vent the fumes out a window. 4) On that front, keep in mind that they will need to run a flexible duct to a window that is not in the bathroom. We didn't know that. It's messy and we had to clean up the room where the fan was. 5) The repair work to the cracks in our tile needed to be redone after the first try. It felt to me like the initial work was pretty sloppy, but I don't have experience with this so it may be the nature of the process that you need to do a rough finish, then come in and sand / shape the repair, and touch up the paint. You might just want to ask Oscar. 6) The guys who did the actual work didn't clean up after themselves (and this is why I only rated "professionalism" as "fair"). There was dirt on the floors, tape residue stuck on tile, fixtures, and the floor, and paint overspray on walls, fixtures, and the floor that I had to clean up. No good excuse for that - just recognize you may need to do some heavy cleaning after they leave. 7) It was all done in a day, then Oscar came back the next day to do repairs. Okay, hope that helps someone out there!"

The final outcome was very good!  Getting there was not.

Morgan was my salesperson.  She changed the appointment time due to problems with babysitting.  I already knew I wanted shaker style cabinets and quartz countertops.  Morgan was pleasant and knew her product. Be aware that Morgan does not have an office e-mail address.  After several failed attempts at contacting Morgan (I only had her personal e-mail address). Stewart (the owner) answered the phone and within 20 minutes I was speaking with Morgan regarding three changes to the kitchen.  (Changes were to replace an added box from two drawers to three drawers, replace the window sill with quartz and add a valance above the sink.  We agreed on the additional cost.  I received no e-mail confirming the changes and cost.  I e-mailed Morgan and Stewart to confirm the changes and additional cost ? I also attached a file containing a picture of the valance.

Diego arrived June 1, 2014 (a week after my initial meeting with Morgan) to take measurements. 

Five weeks later (from the date I established my change orders) I called the company for an expected installation date.  Due to the changes the company sent another installer out to measure for the drawers and valance. I was given no explanation as to why it took 5 weeks to determine that new measurements were needed.  It took another two hours as the installer measured the entire kitchen again.

I was not given the specs of the new sink.  It took over a week to obtain Moe?s name and number, who was helpful in supplying the info I needed to verify that the sink the company chose was of very good quality.  Moe works for Granite and Marble Express, Inc.; the quartz installers.

Approximately 5 weeks later, I was informed the install would occur August 21, 22 and 23rd.   No one from the office provided any instructions on preparing the kitchen for the install.  Luckily I remembered Diego mentioning that all cabinets had to be emptied.  All was ready upon his arrival. 

Diego arrived timely and worked tirelessly from Thursday until late Sunday to install the available items.  His work thus far had been impeccable. Five of my cabinets could not be completed due to ordering errors.  The change to the box from 2 to 3 drawers was ignored as was the face for the valance.  No one from the company forwarded the picture to the manufacturer.

A week prior to the installation Eric (from Granite and Marble Express, Inc.) arrived to measure for the countertops and backslash.  Eric explained both the measurement and installation process.  Eric also made a few small suggestions that ultimately improved the final outcome.   

The countertops and backsplash took four days instead of two to install.  There were errors in some of the cut quartz.  The installers were sloppy and tried to pass off shoddy work.  Only the lead could speak some English.  They were polite and accommodating in making corrections once they were informed. The final outcome was great.  Word of advice; Expect to be your own general contractor on the job.

Due to the number of ordering errors, I contacted Omar (a supervisor) to request a copy of the order confirmation from the manufacturer.  I received the copy the next day.  I reviewed the measurements and found errors.  Diego arrived the next day to confirm the errors for the reorder.  I again e-mailed Omar for another copy of the manufacturer?s order confirmation and found yet another error.

Diego and Carlos arrived October 8th to complete the job.  There is a slight color variation on the white crown molding as compared to the white cabinets.  Omar called the manufacturer and verified the same paint color had been used.  Omar arrived on site to apologize for the delays and then asked that I not supply a review on Angie's list as it could impede securing future jobs.  (Doesn't this defeat the purpose of Angie's list?) 

Diego had to return Saturday to install missing hardware and the drop-down stainless steel containers in front of the sink. 

It took 4 1/2 months to complete my kitchen.  I was disappointed with the multitude of errors and delays.  I withheld the remaining payment until the job was completed.  I felt this would provide incentive to complete my kitchen.

Communication is a serious problem with this company and was the cause for the delays.

In the end, Diego provided quality work and the final outcome was exactly as I expected.
