"The young man who came out was professional and timely. We had a few rooms with power issues/out. He checked all the outlets and everything found the problems in three areas and replaced those which solved the problem. You can see this gentlemen is thorough in what he does. He ensured that we were aware of the repairs that were needed and explained it well. That is certainly appreciated. I aquired his card ... Thank you Mr. Jordan Payne. Appreciate you sir. I have some great and not so great experiences through American Home Shield. Payne Electric has been a GREAT experience."

"My experience with Barco Electrical was superb. I had the light replaced outside of my father-in-law's house. He lives in Shreveport and I am located in Atlanta, GA. John responded immediately to my request for an estimate. The work was done when I requested and John did a great job. He kept me posted on everything that was going on and my father-in-law, who is quite difficult to please, was thrilled with the work. I will definitely use Barco Electrical in the future. Thanks to John for making this so easy and affordable!"

"The repairmen were very nice, but with that being said I feel as though the price was very high for what was done. The first thing that was done when they arrived was explain to me that the max amount that I could be charged would be around $500 but that was if it turned into an all day project. I was also told that the service charge up front was $70 so I really do not understand why they advertise a free estimate. Nevertheless, they did look at an additional issue that I was having with my water well that I believed to be my contacts. They took the cover off and told me there was nothing wrong with the contacts and that was not the problem. I do appreciate that they did not just change them and charge me. They then moved on to the original electrical issue that I was having which was a breaker that was tripped causing loss of power in my bathroom. It ended up being one wire that was damaged and had to be replaced. They were here 1.5 hours and I ended up with a bill for $472.00. They put a new breaker on to test if it was just the breaker but instead of leaving the new breaker on, they put my old one back on that has now been tripped several times leaving me concerned about the continued functionality of it. I also found out ( by accident because I was not told beforehand) that they changed a light switch because they could not put it back in after removing it during the troubleshooting process. Lastly, and this is minor but I just wish they would have just taken me into the bathroom so I would know this before they left, because when they rewired another switch the light and the vent is now switched so I have to get used to that I guess. Overall, the pros are they were very nice and I am glad that my issue has been corrected, and they did arrive when they said they would so they are dependable. The cons are definitely the cost. $500 seems like a lot for replacing one wire, replacing a switch that was not even the issue, and putting an old breaker back in my breaker box. I know you cannot put a price on the safety of your family and I am grateful that it is fixed but wow, it was definitely a hit to the pocket book."

FAQs for electrical switches, outlets & fixtures install or repair projects in Belcher, LA

Wiring conversions for relocating outlets require upgrading the existing wiring to the correct amperage before installing the new outlet. This step ensures that the circuit safely supports the outlet's power demand. Engaging a professional guarantees that the alterations meet current electrical standards, thereby ensuring a safe and efficient installation overall.

Installing an outlet can be completed in 30 minutes, but professionals charge a minimum labor fee covering one to two hours of work. This fee accounts for travel, setup, and any extra tasks that may be required during the installation process. Bundling additional services with the installation can lead to overall cost savings while upholding stringent safety standards.
