Gary made sure to test each weep hole very carefully and re-drilled any hole with questionable drainage or mortar clogs 09. Final gravel, pipe and cement installation was executed flawlessly 10. Permit inspector raved about the good job Gary and his team had done and he passed inspection with flying colors INSTALLATION - ABOVE AND BEYOND 01. There was questionable broken shower drain pipe, he just fixed it, no problem 02. While preparing area around sump pump Gary went the extra mile to investigate what could be another bad "home made" plumbing solution. Turns out the previous owner did not connect sump pump outlet to main sewer line, leaving a visible gap, and essentially allowing sewer gases to escape! Gary then switched gears, put on his plumber hat, and had multiple solutions to correct problem. There was a nominal cost associated with it, but I was MORE THAN HAPPY to pay for properly fixing a very bad plumbing situation. 03. Gary's crew are also there to get it done right. When his crew arrived one member pointed out that cleanout to main sewer line was not up to code. This was not pressing concern, but once other plumbing problems were uncovered, they brought this up to code at cost of some new PVC pipe. Very nice. 04. Gary's final cleanup surprised me, in a good way. After seeing first hand the unavoidable mess this type of work can cause, Gary humbly said they do their best with final clean up. Well, when we did final inspection, the basement and exterior never looked better. Nice."

"I hired West Water and Sewer to fix an issue with my sewer line that Roto Rooter caused at my house in Detroit. Without going into too much detail, they charged me $11k to replace maybe 20ft of pipe, and found some old disused septic tanks under my yard. They told me I wasnt hooked up to the sewer at all, that it would be $40k to install a new line, then diverted my pipes into the dilapidated tanks they found. So glad that I got in contact with Geoff from West Water and Sewer, he was straight with me and told me that Roto Rooter had most likely lost the lead to the sewer and were just trying to squeeze more money out of me. They came out on Easter sunday to excavate and fix the issue, found the lead to my sewer line, piped me back in, sleeved and snaked it all the way to the main and did it for $6k. I wish I would have called him first, it would have saved me from so much stress. Highly recommend them if you're looking for an honest and professional plumber."

More importantly, he dealt specifically with the actual problem, as opposed to competitors who were determined to offer extraordinarily costly and unnecessary drainage systems, which were absolute overkill to the actual problem. If I have an issue again, I'm calling Russ. He consistently had a thoughtful response to what I was seeing."

"Critical: Professionalism, Value I called Omega to check out smoke transfer between flues. Al quoted flue top dampers at $900 each and cleanings at $300 each. He said he would need to schedule a day to do the work. Thinking this must be an extensive project, I bought it. Ten days later I finally was called to say they would come that afternoon to do it. After the cleaning they glued dampers to the tops of the flues and were done in about 45 minutes. Al defended his $750/hour labor rate and double cleaning rate, saying it was due to his "high overhead" costs that I didn't understand. I still don't understand. Omega Construction is aptly named, they are the last one you should think of calling. They apparently only maintain their good BBB rating because the BBB doesn't consider "pricing issues" or "buyer's remorse" in their calculations. BBB is basically another way to advertise."
