"It was free of charge for them to send someone out to give us their expert opinion on how to resolve our basement leak. They ended up having to tear out the perimeter foundation and add drains and replace our sump pump, next big rain it leaked again and they came out and redone everything again and added a bigger sump pump and that did the trick, we have been basement flood free for 5 years now thanks to everdry. The lifetime warranty is great so when we sell house itâ ll go to the next owners"

"It was not a foundation issue. Chris came and walked through all the locations which would’ve caused the dampness as a part of the free estimation and help me find the issue."

"The septic tank was pumped satisfactorily. The problem we had was that our gate and latching mechanism were damage by his employee doing the work. We were told that the gate was damaged. We called Mr Andrews after we discovered that gate was damaged. Mr Andrews told me that his employees were independent contractors and were responsible for any damages that occur. Mr Andrews asked me to send him pictures and a description of the damage. He said he would have his independent contractor contact me to resolve the issue. To date we have not heard from his independent contractor or Mr Andrews to resolve the issue The company does a good pumping your septic tank but doesn't take care of any damages that they cause. "The employees at All Star Building Corp. were out standing they were on time and worked was done in a timely manner.
One of the things that I liked most about All Star Building Corp, was the way that they took note of a little play pool in the back yard and my dogs. I noticed that they went out of there way to control the mess when removing my old roof. I know that all contractors in this line of work try to do this, but these guys took it to a new level, I had to stop in at the house a few times while they were working they did not know I was there, but I noticed that they were going out of their way to be sure that none of the old roof or nails fell in the back yard. Now I did not ask them to do this, don't even think that I said any thing about my dogs, that is what made me notice. They were just doing all they could to keep everything contained. When they were done my son and I did a very thorough inspection of the yard for the safety of the dogs and found no shingles or nails any where.
The fact is they did a great job on all the work they had to do and also cared enough to take the extra steps to not put my dogs at risk. This meant a lot to me.
More companies should be like this."

FAQs for sump pump or interior foundation drains installation projects in Bennington, IN

Most residential pumps draw approximately 1,300 to 2,900 watts when they first start, then settle at roughly 800 to 1,050 watts during normal operation. The exact number depends on the motor’s horsepower and how often the float switch tells the pump to run. Even at the high end, the electricity cost is minor compared with the expense of cleaning up a flooded basement.

Grab a ruler and an empty 18‑inch‑wide pit. During a steady rain, time how much the water rises in one minute. Multiply that depth (in inches) by 60 to calculate gallons per hour, then add 50% for safety. If the result tops 2,100 gallons per hour—about 35 gallons a minute—you’ll need a 3/4‑horsepower unit. Anything lower, and a 1/3- or 1/2-horsepower pump should do the trick.

Loud rattling, constant cycling, or shuddering vibrations are the pump’s way of telling you it’s on its last legs. Musty smells, higher electric bills, and visible rust are other red flags. If the unit is 10 years old or older and exhibits any of these symptoms, replace it before the next heavy rain turns your basement into a wading pool.

You don’t have to hire a licensed plumber, but you should still bring in someone who installs sump pumps for a living—whether that’s a plumber, basement‑waterproofing specialist, or experienced handyman. They know the local codes, can wire the pump safely, and will test the system before they leave. Skipping professional help might void the warranty and could leave you with a pump that fails when you need it most.

Not every basement needs a pump, but if your home sits in a floodplain, has a high water table, or has ever taken on water during a storm, a sump pump is inexpensive insurance. For basements that only struggle with condensation or the occasional damp spot, sealing cracks and improving drainage may be all that is needed.
