"Handyman for Hire did a fantastic job on turning a sunroom into a master closet/dressing room for me. They had to remove and replace windows, close in one side wall and install floor to ceiling wardrobes. The team that worked at my house were knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. I have already gotten a quote from them for the next project on my list. I am beyond happy and pleased with the work they did!!"

"The service was excellent! They arrived to pick up the vehicle a day earlier which was great. They delivered the vehicle right to my daughter's door and found a side street to unload. The service was delivered within the time frame given. All of my questions were answered via phone or email and the paperwork was seamless and the price was very reasonable."

"They are honest about things that needed to be done, that he could or could not do. He has a lot going on and so he has to work on bigger project first but that is common. Sometimes if he do not have a big job you cannot really expect to get quick service, that kind of goes for a lot of people. I would use his services again in the future, as eventually it’s the right thing."

"Our air conditioner was not cooling. We called American Air for help. We have used them for many years in our current home, and in our previous home. We weren't expecting the technician until that afternoon, but he was able to get there before noon. The compressor had gone out in our unit. We knew the compressor was old, and American Air had helped us baby it along for a while. It finally needed to be replaced. They gave us several options, and several price levels. We decided to replace the compressor with a new one. The price was very competitive, and they were able to do the installation very quickly. The installation was also complicated by the fact the compressor has to be installed on our roof. They handled that with no problem. All the technicians were very courteous and knowledgeable. The office staff is always a pleasure to work with also. Whenever we have an issue, they are all very responsive, and normally are here within hours or less. Replacing air conditioning units is never a welcomed event, but American Air makes it as painless as possible."

FAQs for shed, barn or playhouse repair projects in Benton, LA

You’ll know it’s time for a new shed roof if shingles curl or buckle, soft spots sag, or water stains appear inside. Moss or other plant growth on the surface is another red flag that moisture has breached the roofing layers. Replacing the roof quickly stops leaks from spreading, protects stored items, and saves you from costlier structural repairs down the road.

Choosing between a flat and a sloped shed roof comes down to climate, budget, and upkeep. A flat roof is cheaper up front, but still needs a slight pitch for drainage. A sloped roof sheds rain and snow more easily, lasts longer, and often needs less maintenance. Weigh your local weather patterns, the look you want, and how much time you’re willing to spend on upkeep before deciding.

A shed roof’s life span hinges on the material you choose and how well you maintain it. Most standard products last 15 to 30 years, while premium picks like slate or clay tile can protect the structure for 50 to 100 years. Regular inspections, fast fixes, and routine cleaning all help you reach the upper end of those ranges and keep your tools and gear dry year-round.
