"Chaz and Sheila were wonderful. Chaz is honest and doesn't take on a job that he cannot safely perform to a high quality. After reviewing my list of requests, Chaz and Sheila performed research to find the best options for my situation. Chaz could not do the garage header as it was a 2 man job, but he was so helpful providing other options. I completely appreciate Chaz for not taking a job he couldn't complete well. Chaz and Sheila were always responsive and punctual. Chaz hung 3 sets of new shutters for me, he removed an old squirrel baffle and installed a new replacement, and he repaired wood rot on an exterior door. Chaz and Sheila also gave me estimates on replacing my front porch columns and rails due to wood rot. I didn't have that job done at this time but will look at those options in the future. I love that Chaz prays with his clients before he starts work. Chaz and Sheila deliver high quality handyman work at a great price. I will definitely be calling on Chaz again."

"We were so pleased with the results of this work. Our kitchen is just what we wanted. Glen was so responsive throughout the process, and his workers were excellent. They were mindful of our needs and were very thoughtful as we dealt with the stress of having limited or no  kitchen for awhile. They were also great about responding to our requests for completing small jobs around the house that could be done by someone on the crew.   We highly recommend Glen. His follow-up is outstanding, and all of his communications with us have been timely and helpful. If you want high quality work from a company that you can trust, I suggest this one. <br />"

"From the first call for an estimate until I shook the young man's hand when the move was completed, Little Guys was top notch.  They were courteous, professional, careful with my things, and efficient.  The overall experience with this group was outstanding.  I will call and or refer them should I need movers in the future. <br />"

"Alan did a great job. He was scheduled to be here on a Thursday morning and arrived on time and finished the job in just a couple of hours. The work looked great and me and my wife are very pleased to have those wires gone. We have used Alan and Randy before and we highly recommend Worley & Son. Best handymen we have ever used!"

"Tyler was very helpful in finding matching spindles that needed replacement as well as matching the paint. I didn't have to hunt down anything which was a huge relief. He worked clean, efficiently and was very punctual.  He was also friendly and professional. We were VERY happy with the finished project and pleased with the price. He is definitely someone you can trust around the house even if you aren't there and that is a big plus as well. <br />"

FAQs for shed, barn or playhouse repair projects in Nashville, TN

You’ll know it’s time for a new shed roof if shingles curl or buckle, soft spots sag, or water stains appear inside. Moss or other plant growth on the surface is another red flag that moisture has breached the roofing layers. Replacing the roof quickly stops leaks from spreading, protects stored items, and saves you from costlier structural repairs down the road.

Choosing between a flat and a sloped shed roof comes down to climate, budget, and upkeep. A flat roof is cheaper up front, but still needs a slight pitch for drainage. A sloped roof sheds rain and snow more easily, lasts longer, and often needs less maintenance. Weigh your local weather patterns, the look you want, and how much time you’re willing to spend on upkeep before deciding.

A shed roof’s life span hinges on the material you choose and how well you maintain it. Most standard products last 15 to 30 years, while premium picks like slate or clay tile can protect the structure for 50 to 100 years. Regular inspections, fast fixes, and routine cleaning all help you reach the upper end of those ranges and keep your tools and gear dry year-round.
