"The job went very well and looked better than I imagined. I had a traditional pressure treated deck that was built 25 years ago. Maintenance was a nightmare to the point I stained the deck a solid color. This needed to be freshened up every couple of years. I tired of doing this chore so I contacted several contractors. Those contacted were not very enthusiastic and submitted extremely high bids without explaining exactly what materials they were using or a plan of attack. Brian of Carls Decking came with samples, brochures and a no nonsense explanation of what needed to be done to put me” in my happy place.” Brian inspected the frame and found it to still be level and in good shape. He suggested a total rip off of the planks and replacement of steps deck boards and railings. He even obtained the railing permit and made sure final inspection was handled. Pricing to do this type of renovation is not cheap but the final result was worth every penny! The crew that Brian sent over did an amazing job! "It's very tough for me to hire and trust somebody to do a job at my house because I am very particular. I'm also in the industry I know how hard it it's to find a good contractor. However shortly after meeting John and his crew I could tell that John is a guy that I would feel uncomfortable to do business with. I could see he took great pride in what he was doing. My instincts were right. He did everything he said he would do and more. As a matter of fact he stopped by my house one day after finishing up another job just to check on the progress. John wasn't happy with the way something came out on the deck. Without me even having to say anything he pointed it out and said he was going to have his crew redo the work and apologized that it was going set us back 1/2 days work (at no cost to us of course) .
