"Rigo was fantastic. His price was perfect, he was in and out in two days, and he had a very clear idea of what needed to be completely replaced, and what could just be repaired. That helped with both cost and time. He was able to replace bricks in a way that unified the front, and gave us the curb appeal we had been lacking for years. I look forward to relying on International Brick & Concrete again in the future for my concrete and masonry needs."

"The reviews do not lie! David Ricard and his team are true pros. I called them out to do repointing work on the brick on our home. Not only were they quick to respond and showed up to do the estimate the next day, their pricing was reasonable and they were efficient in their work. If you have any masonry job you need, save some time and make David Ricard your first call."

"My experience with Romualdo and the services he and his team provided was excellent! I had to replace my walkway and decided that this would also be the perfect time to reshape and used colored concrete on the walkway to have a more beautiful view to the entrance of my home. I provided Romauldo with a couple of pictures of designs I wanted and he was able to recreate the design I desired. He also provided me with a set of colors I could choose from to color the cement. The outcome was perfect! I could not have asked for a better overall experience and will definitely use Romualdo and his team for future projects. And yes, they did clean up afterwards, which was really appreciated."

"Moses, his father and their crew did an outstanding job repairing my gutters, replacing missing shingles, repairing the roof valley separating my and my neighbor's roof, installing a "flashing guard" along side of the front roof, painting and sealing the metal strip along the lower roof, replacing and painting wood along the top front of the house and the rotten wood along the V-shape of the rear roof and coated the entire rear flat roof with fiber aluminum roof coating . Also new rubber roofing in roof valley. They also completed touch up painting in areas not covered in the contract free of charge. They all were extremely courteous, friendly and knowledgeable in their profession. They were a pleasure to work with. I will not hesitate to call upon them for any job I will have done in the future.( which I plan to do) I highly this company!! Moses and his dad are sincere and extremely honest individuals."

"Great experience working with MAF Contractors. Communication over phone & email with Mr. Luis was prompt and reliable. I highly recommend hiring him. I had to replace 80+ year old lintels, which support the brick work above the exterior of my home. Many were severely rusted. I did get several estimates. Many were concerned with the expansion and bulging of the brick above the second story lintels. After several estimates, I did go with MAF Contractors Inc. Mr. Luis also noted the difficulties with the second story. But, he was solid in his review and gave one of the best prices. I had 7 lintels replaced including brick and mortar repairs. The workmanship was fast and expertly handled. For any other masonry projects, I would definitely hire Mr. Luis and MAF Contractors again. 5 stars"

"<br /> <br /> MCP Chimney & Masonry installed two stainless steel liners in my chimney - one for my fireplace and one for my furnace. <br /> <br /> They also repaired the chimney crown and parged the smoke chamber. <br /> <br /> The price was fair and competitive. <br /> <br /> Brandon Morris and his team assigned to do the work were amazing. <br /> <br /> He reviewed the scope of the job with me before they started to ensure I didn?t have any questions. <br /> <br /> Everything proceeded without a hitch. <br /> <br /> It was necessary to cut a hole in the exterior brick in order to access one of the flues and when finished his masonry crew matched the brick perfectly. You cannot tell where the brick was cut. <br /> <br /> Everything in the work area was protected so when they finished I didn?t even have any dust to clean up. <br /> <br /> These guys are one of the best contractors I have ever had do work for me. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />"

FAQs for brick or stone siding: repair or partially replace projects in Bethesda, MD

Stone veneer isn’t a weekend DIY. Even lightweight faux panels are heavy and must be anchored, flashed, and sealed to keep water out. Missteps can lead to cracked stone, leaks, or injuries. A licensed siding contractor arrives with scaffolding, masonry tools, and the know-how to set each piece safely and neatly, giving you a long-lasting, professional finish.

Stone veneer durability is robust when expert installation and proper maintenance are employed. When installed with precision, regularly cleaned, and sealed as required, stone veneer maintains its integrity for 25 to 75 years. Inadequate installation, however, leads to water intrusion and structural issues that compromise its longevity. Consistent upkeep and adherence to quality installation standards ensure decades of reliable performance.

Covering the entire exterior of a home with stone veneer is feasible but comes with a significant cost increase. Full coverage escalates both material and labor expenses due to the additional square footage required. Many homeowners reduce costs by applying stone veneer selectively—such as around entries, foundations, or architectural accents—while still achieving an upscale appearance and enhancing overall curb appeal.

Installing stone veneer over brick or stucco is entirely possible when the underlying surface is stable and properly prepared. The substrate must be clean, dry, and free of any loose material to support a secure application. Additionally, any areas of flaking stucco or deteriorated mortar must be patched and allowed to cure fully before a professional applies the new veneer, ensuring lasting durability.

Stone veneer siding offers a substantial cost advantage compared to full-thickness natural stone. It costs 25% of the price of natural stone because it is manufactured from concrete and lightweight aggregates. This method delivers the genuine appearance of stone while featuring a thinner profile that simplifies shipping, accelerates installation, and consistently reduces material expenses.

For a 250 square foot exterior area, stone siding installation costs range from $9,800 to $18,000, while installing stone veneer costs between $5,000 and $6,000. This clear cost breakdown demonstrates the significant savings achieved with stone veneer, which uses a lighter construction method that minimizes both material and labor expenses. Homeowners benefit from these lower costs while still attaining the attractive look of natural stone.
