"It went very well.  The owner, Richard Farina, suggested using an "architectural" shingle, which is heavier and should last for 30 years as opposed to 20 for most other types of shingle.  They installed Grace ice and water shield up to a distance that we requested.

We had one small leak this past storm on the front porch from the front corner of our bedroom dormer.  They were very responsive and came back the same day called and applied additional caulking between the roof shingles and the siding shingles, where a gap had been created.  I was pleased with their prompt responsiveness."

I cannot rate the work quality, since I know nothing about assessing roofing repairs, which also impacts any judgment about value for money as related to quality. But, this company is *very* expensive as compared to others in competition. Providers who charge a lot always claim it is due to superior quality, that is, the quality justifies the price, but laypeople cannot tell if that is accurate and justified or not. For us, this company was too expensive to hire for the remaining work."

"Working with Damion and DE RoofSmiths is by far the best home-improvement experience we've had so far. When choosing a roofer we did our due diligence and got multiple quotes. Only a few of them actually went on the roof to examine it, and those that did told us that there were some really bad holes up there and that the roof should be replaced ASAP (duh, we know! That's why we called!). When Damion came to give us an estimate, he too found the holes in the roof. However, instead of just telling us what we already knew, he patched the holes on the spot (at no charge to us) so that our home would be protected from rain while we waited to get the roof replaced. When we decided to hire Damion (his quote was the most competitive), this was the kind of service we continued to receive. At all stages of our roof replacement there was an uncanny attention to detail and service. Damion was excellent at communication, punctuality, and explaining the process to us. In addition to the actual roof replacement (which was done very quickly), he personally came over to check on every stage of the process (material delivery, dumpster delivery, dumpster pick-up, etc). He also put trim around the inside edge of our new skylight (something other roofers said they would not do) at no additional cost, and did a beautiful job. On top of all that, Damion is just a really nice, friendly, courteous guy (our cat loved him!). We simply cannot recommend DE RoofSmiths enough. One of their salesmen, Joseph Costello went on my roof and filmed the issues he saw that needed attention. He showed me a video on his computer of the inspection he had just completed of my roof. He then showed me his suggestion of what should be done and also had samples of the materials that FRS would use on the roof replacement. I was impressed with the materials that would be used and chose FRS to replace my roof. I watched the roofers replace the roof and perform the work and cleanup. "Barn Rescue – My barn was hit by a vehicle, which broke a large post and pushed section of siding out from under the roofline, plus major damage at ground level. Brad shored it up for the winter with an array of jacks and an enormous chain to ensure the thing wouldn’t fall down till they could return in the spring. Come spring, they fully replaced the damaged section’s support members and facade, and added bracing to the attic, rendering it stronger than before. Foundation support: The sagging beams and jerry-rigged support columns in the dirt basement of our 18th century house were inadequate. They dug and poured a dozen footings and lally columns, supporting a line of new 6x6 and 9x9 beams that provide solid support to the house above. They showed up promptly every day, worked fast, and left the site clean and finished. Both Brad and Chad have a deep knowledge about old houses and the techniques that were used, and I felt my historic register property was in good hands."
