"From the Repair Specialist to the office staff and installers, I had a wonderful working experience with SpringRock Gutters. The Repair Specialist and the Installers were on time. The Repair Specialist was professional and knowledgeable about how gutters should work. He took pictures of the inside of the gutters and explained the repair and replacement options available. He also gave me a complete price for each option and did not do a hard sell. The office staff was very friendly and answered any questions I had. They welcomed me as a customer and thanked me for the business after the job was completed. The installers work directly for Springrock and were a joy to work with. They were friendly, introduced themselves, and worked diligently the entire time. The lead person confirmed the work to be done before they began and gave me a tour after the job was completed. "Rich is a class act. He definitely knows his craft and executes to perfection. We had another company come out and want to charge us $1900 to just encapsulate the tape on only the ducts in the basement and $200 to test for asbestos. We called Rich for a separate matter regarding the moldy areas in our basement, not knowing he also did asbestos encapsulation. He offered to test it for $25. What I liked right off the bat was the fact that he wasn't an alarmist about it as the other company was. He said let's just first see what we're dealing with and go from there. Once we got the test results back, we found out it was in fact asbestos (50% Chrysotile) and I also mentioned to Rich that we can visibly see this same asbestos tape inside the heat registers where it meets up with the duct work. That concerned him for the fact that this stuff was traveling INSIDE the system, not just on the outside seams. He said he never has seen this type of situation in the 20 years of being in homes and said he needed some time to figure out the best and safest solution to our problem. When he got back to us, he said we could have the outer seams encapsulated with foil tape and the inside of the duct system encapsulated with a non-toxic encapsulant (like a liquid glass) to completely bond/cover anything remaining in the duct system. He worked in tandem with Lazlo from Duct Medic who completely cleaned out the ducts beforehand. (see my review on Lazlo as well) He also taped some loose seams where the ductwork met the registers so we'd have better airflow and less heat loss as well. Both he and Lazlo from Duct Medic had to come back to finish the job because 2 cold air returns were not connected at all to the furnace, and Rich was kind enough not to charge for the return visit (even though we were an hour away). We are truly grateful not only for Rich's excellent service, but his diligence in finding the right product for our needs."
