"These people are known rip off artists. They sent 3 vehicles and crew for what was supposed to be a free estimate. Then they used scare tactics to force us to hire them for a job. Told us we could be fined by the EPA if we did not take immediate action. We are female senior citizens and they saw an opportunity to take advantage of us. Told us the initial charge would be $2800 but it could be as much as $20,000. Ended up charging us over $4500 the first day and did not do any of the work that they charged us for. We had another reputable septic service come and look at the problem. They knew right away without us having to tell them who the company was that was ripping us off. They have a reputation for charging people 3 to 5 times more than they should. We could have a whole new septic system installed for less than these con artists were going to charge us. I am disputing the charge with my credit card company and filing a complaint with the BBB. Do not hire these people!"

During this hurricane, I started panicking as we have electricity but no water and a pipe on the heater was hissing and dripping. They immediately took my call, calmed my nerves, and walked me through step by step of what to do to keep the heater safe and prepare it for when we get water back. "We had a new system put in the end of 2020. Gentry has always been prompt, knowledgeable, professional and great to work with. During this last storm our heater went out. I called on Sunday afternoon and I actually spoke to a person, who was very nice, and said someone would call me. Within minutes someone actually did and tried to help over phone. I had already tried what was suggested but he assured me we would see a service man the next day (Monday). Someone did call Monday morning and we did have a serviceman come out promptly. Albert was prompt, professional and immediately got to work. Our unit is underground and is difficult to get to but he went down there and worked until he got it working. It was a frozen line which he fixed and rerouted. He suggested a few things for another snow or freeze and left. The heater has been working since then. We would highly recommend Gentry Service in Swannanoa for new heating system or for service. We have been very satisfied from the beginning."
