"Rod did an excellent job, knew immediately what part needed to be replaced, even brought it in from his truck with him when he first arrived. He arrived ahead of the scheduled time, explained every step of the repair, was professional and efficient and a joy to chat with throughout. Cost was very reasonable, compared to other repair people we've had for prior dishwasher or other appliance malfunctions. Also, got a very quick appointment, would probably have been next day service but for the Fourth of July holiday weekend"

"Supreme is superb. We had a refrigerator ice maker replaced quickly and efficiently. But we also go a free, quick reminder to add a couple of surge protectors to our home and a demonstration of why it would be cheaper to order a new electric cooktop than have it repaired. That's what great service looks like."

Small jobs welcome

"Juan has done work for us over several years and we keep asking him to do more! He most recently helped patch holes in our drywall and ceiling, He also repaired our attic hatch, replaced the seal at the bottom of our garage door, installed a storm door, and put in a latch to hold our furnace filter in place. Juan does quality work AND is reasonably priced. He gives free estimates and schedules the work in a timely manner! We found a gem many years ago and will continue to hire him for projects!"

"

I purchased a "Big Deal for $74 for one large appliance repair.  Tech came out and diagnosed problem with stove.  He was here for less than 15 minutes.  Said parts needed would be an additional $410.00.  Requested deposit for $205.00.  Only after I asked for his parts invoice the day before the work was completed did I learn that the cost of the parts was $290.00/labor and installation was $120.00.  When he came out to make the repair he was here for less than an hour.  Turns out the $74.00 Big Deal was only trip to diagnose problem not toward making the repairs.

I've gotten estimates from the company before on other work Ive needed done.  They were always on the high end.  I thought with the "Big Deal" I purchased it would it would be reasonable.

 UPDATE BY CUSTOMER

I, was NEVER advised by the technician that I had the option to request a refund of the $74 I paid to Angies List and cancel the deal.. He, in fact, required I pay $205 deposit  for the parts so I wouldn't "change my mind" because the parts were so expensive. Had he been frank about the refund from Angie's List I would have requested a refund..

FAQs for appliance (major electric appliance) installation and replacement projects in Black Hawk, CO

A pro starts by setting the units in place and connecting them to the right plumbing lines, electrical circuits, and, for the dryer, a vent. If the hookups already exist, the job is quick. When they don’t, the installer must add plumbing, outlets, or a vent run, which takes more time and increases the price, especially when the laundry area is located far from existing utilities.

You’ll need the right pros for a tight stacked setup. A natural-gas plumber handles the water lines, drain, and any gas work, while an electrician installs the circuit the dryer needs. If venting or framing changes are required, hire a general contractor to patch the drywall or adjust the framing so that everything meets code and operates safely.

Permanent models need complete plumbing, electrical, and—for dryers—vent hookups. Portable units skip most of that and can run on a standard outlet with a temporary water connection. If your home already has a code-approved hookup, you just connect the new appliances. If not, hire a licensed pro to add the lines and vent so the machines run safely and efficiently.

Relocating a hookup costs between $500 and $5,000, as it may involve installing new outlets, gas lines, vents, and drain pipes. The price increases when the new location is far from existing utilities or requires additional framing and drywall work. Have licensed professionals evaluate your layout, provide a quote for the move, and handle the installation so that every component meets code and works safely.
