"I was glad with how fast, friendly, easy it went for me to turn it in and get results quickly. They helped with my Angie's discount so it was good to know i got the best price (less than I imagined) to have this done. The possibility of having mold in a house is stressful enough... glad to have this go smoothly."

"Doug and the 800-water-damage team answered the phone even though it was after normal hours. Doug himself responded to the call and came right away. He addressed the water intrusion problem and started drying the interior walls and floor immediately. He came and checked on equipment the next day and ensured that the process and issue was resolved and drying equipment was working properly. He took great care of our home but also called to make sure we were OK as well. The entire process from start to finish was professional, responsive and the entire team was very knowledgeable and personable to deal with in an emergency situation. Make the call, 800-Water -Damage is the clear choice!! Excellent customer service and workmanship. Thank you!!"

"PuroClean showed up and began immediately to dry the damage floors. They also worked with our insurance company helping them understand the damage caused by the leak in a very short time, like less than a week. They were professional and provided Value for the their work including drying the damp areas from below the floor and above removing the possibility of a mold issue."

"They came as soon as I called. They evaluated the damage and got right to work on the project. They ripped out the floor and brought fans in to dry up the moisture. They kept in touch with me the whole way so I knew what was going on and what to expect next. They were very professional. When the guy called me about getting the trim from around the floor repainted and put back on, I mentioned that the previous owner had painted around the toilet tank and I needed to paint that spot behinds the tank before they put the toilet back in. He said he would paint it for me. Not a big deal but it was one less thing I had to worry about! I would highly recommend them to anyone! <br />"

"He has serviced our plumbing for a long time.  He is very easy going and personable.  If you have a problem he will come back and fix it.  If he can't fix something, he will make a referral.  He does a lot of things, but he isa journeyman carpenter."

"1. I was very pleased once we connected on the phone and were able to schedule a date for the work to be done. The technician was prompt, courteous and skilled. He did an excellent job of removing the moldy drywall and patching the wall and ceiling of the closet. He also did a thorough clean up and hauled away the refuse. His work was well worth the money. <br /> 2. On the second interaction I really appreciated the honesty of the person who gave me the estimate on a masonry patch. I felt that he really had my interests in mind rather than just making money on a job. I would go to them without question if the need arises for me to do additional work on that wall. His suggestion of installing a gutter has been taken and I am waiting to see if that solves my problem. <br />"

"Burke's Klein's was contacted by my insurance company after the Spokane windstorm in November 2015 to put up tarps over the damaged roofing areas. They made it out the same day and got the work done quickly. However the tarps were simply draped over the vent pipes protruding thru the roof. Lucky for us we had a roofing contractor in mind and made preparations to have the roof re-shingled within the week. The invoice was $1200 to nail down 3 large tarps. <br />"

"One day after the moving van unloaded my belongings into my new home, I came to the house ready to move out of my temporary housing only to find three inches of water covering my lower level.  A faulty sprinkler valve had poured water for several days into the egress window wells.  All the furniture and boxes that had just been moved in were standing in water.  It was 5:00 p.m. on a Friday and I knew no one in town.  I did the scary thing and picked up the yellow pages.  The first two calls went to voicemail, and neither of the companies ever returned the call.  On The Spot answered immediately and was at my home within 30 minutes with two workers.  They pumped out the window well and got up as much of the standing water as possible.  They set up the blowers and dehumidifiers.  It took them several hours and they were professional, polite, and kind to me.  Neither complained about working on a Friday evening.  Over the next few weeks, they got the carpet as dry as possible.  They checked in with me often, without me having to hunt them down.  They explained what they were doing every step of the way.  When it finally dried out, the carpet looked as good as it had before the flood.  The padding was obviously shot, but I was hopeful that the carpet could be saved.   After pulling the carpet up at several points, it was obvious that the backing of the carpet was destroyed.  When the insurance adjuster agreed with their assessment, On The Spot coordinated the replacement with a local carpet store.  I can't say enough about the professionalism of the people I dealt with at this company.  If I ever have another issue with flood or fire damage, heaven forbid, my first call will be to On The Spot."

FAQs for toxicity and mold removal projects in Blackfoot, ID

Remediation should keep mold from returning as long as the moisture source is eliminated. Fix leaks, control humidity, and replace water-damaged materials, then schedule periodic inspections to stay ahead of new growth. With those safeguards, your home can stay mold-free for the long haul while protecting both health and property value.

Most pros recommend leaving the home while they work on mold remediation. Removing mold stirs up airborne spores that can aggravate respiratory issues, and contractors can work more efficiently in an empty space. A short, temporary relocation keeps everyone in your family safe and lets the crew finish the job without interruption.

Mold shouldn’t return once the moisture problem is fixed. Stay vigilant: repair leaks right away, keep humidity below 50 percent with a dehumidifier placed in damp areas, and improve ventilation where needed. Routine checks for leaks and mold and quick repairs go a long way toward keeping your home mold-free.

Mold spores can trigger nasal congestion, throat irritation, coughing, wheezing, eye irritation, or skin rashes. People with asthma, allergies, or weakened immune systems often feel the effects sooner and more intensely. Some molds also release mycotoxins linked to serious respiratory or neurological issues. Swift remediation and better ventilation are the best defenses.
