I am a jack of trades independent contractor/ handyman with 10+ years experience. I am not a licensed plumber, licensed electrician, or licensed roofer. With that said it's easier to just tell you the things that I don't do. I do not do drain work, I do not replace electrical lines or panel boxes, I do not replace plumbing lines which includes water and gas, and I do not replace roofs. Aside from that I can do everything else, and have the tools to do so.

"David gave me what I thought was a fair price for the work to be done. He asked for 1/2 up front. As a previous small business owner I did not feel this was unreasonable so I paid him 500.00. He estimated the work would take 3 to four days and I thought the same. After several no shows the "mason" showed up. The first clue was he came in a car. According to my wife he was here 2 hours and left, came back for another 2 hours the next day and left again. He said nothing to my wife about leaving or when he would be back. David called a day later to ask about coming out to look over the job and get the rest of the other 500.00. I said he isn't finished and he's only been here 4 hours. So then I looked up the prevailing wage in IL for a mason and found out it is 28.50 an hour. The next day the guy comes back for another 3 hours. David came to look at the work and I walked him around and showed him all of the places that had not been done. So the guy comes back again for about an hour. All told it was 8 hours work, nothing to write home about but it was agreed up front that I wasn't looking for an exposed brick look. I need it tuck pointed well enough so that I could drylock and paint the exposed brick. I will say this was done in the end. The worker left a mess that I and my wife had to clean up, I pointed this out to David as well. I told him I felt he was overly paid for the amount of work preformed and that was the end of it. It's really to bad. It's difficult to get contractors to do small jobs and I had plenty for him to do. I'm not unhappy, just would not hire again"

"The pad was great, but the storage bags for the pad and/or additional leaf was cheap and not the correct size. They tear and do not cover the whole pad."

( We had the main floor of my home repainted last .year using a different company and paid alot more for a very sloppy job. We scraped paint specks off our kitchen floor for months). Tabitha painted around my furnishings and over brand new carpet and not one speck of paint was left on my belongings. :-) She is prompt and very easy to work with. "I contacted World Painting after CertaPro dropped out of sight.  We quickly got an appointment with them and they were ready to give us a bid that day.  The price was reasonable and it included power washing, caulking, and painting our porch floor along with the entire house.
They were able to start within the week and kept us updated through out the project, letting us know what was the next step and when it would be completed.  Customer service was excellent.  When I had a question they called me back within the hour. 
They did an amazing job and we have gotten tons of compliments on it.  We would definitely use them again.

"Interior painting. Not perfect but a good job. Concerned with final product and made trip back out to complete any unsatisfactory areas. They patched damaged walls and nail holes well. Worked with me on pricing and good communication from owner. They cleaned up well each day before leaving. Good advice on paint colors as well.

If you want very punctual with minimal breaks taken throughout time on job.... This may not be the crew for you. I would recommend they do not use tools to scrape paint off baseboards (mistakes) bc there are places where our wood baseboards were actually damaged. Otherwise, they worked together well to get the job completed and made sure I was happy with job.
