"We hired Alpha Environmental Services to remove mold in our attic. They responded quickly to our emails and were able to complete the work right away. They explained the procedures thoroughly and kept us informed with before-and-after photos. Friendly, knowledgable, and reasonably priced, I would definitely recommend this company."

"Oregon Restoration is exceptionally experienced in home mitigation, restoration and repairs. They are able to work with insurance companies on complex claims, and earned my trust and confidence in the process. Riley Reed's work as the project manager and Matt Evans perserverance in working with my home owner's insurance company, made all the difference in getting the work approved and done. "

"Everything went well from start to finish. Yoni and his team were nice, professional and on schedule. They cleaned the mold in our loft ceiling, installed proper ventilation, insulation, sheetrock and painted. The trim around the skylights looks perfect. The paint is perfect as well. They left our living room clean. We definitely recommend Accuracy U.S.A."

"Jay was able to fix a cabinet door hinge that we thought was unfixable. We'd tried to fix it ourselves but couldn't find a matching hinge, even looking for one at cabinetparts.com. It took him a few hours and a trip to the hinge wholesaler to get a replacement for the hinges which are no longer made, but the door is perfect now. I'm pretty sure there are very few people with this type of expertise in Portland, so if you've got a tricky issue, his many years of experience will definitely serve to your advantage. Highly recommend!"

"I am the manager of a retirement community in Gresham. Mike and his crew did an excellent job on our complete re-pipe project. Mike explained everything each step of the way. Their estimate and final bill was meticulously itemized so that we could see exactly what we were paying for. Mike and his crew were always on time and always polite to our elderly residents. Working with a family owned company like A&D has the added advantage that you get to talk to the "boss". No one is passing the buck or making excuses. We have used A&D plumbing for many years and would highly recommend them to anyone who has a need for an experienced and knowledgeable plumbing company."

FAQs for toxicity and mold removal projects in Boring, OR

Remediation should keep mold from returning as long as the moisture source is eliminated. Fix leaks, control humidity, and replace water-damaged materials, then schedule periodic inspections to stay ahead of new growth. With those safeguards, your home can stay mold-free for the long haul while protecting both health and property value.

Most pros recommend leaving the home while they work on mold remediation. Removing mold stirs up airborne spores that can aggravate respiratory issues, and contractors can work more efficiently in an empty space. A short, temporary relocation keeps everyone in your family safe and lets the crew finish the job without interruption.

Mold shouldn’t return once the moisture problem is fixed. Stay vigilant: repair leaks right away, keep humidity below 50 percent with a dehumidifier placed in damp areas, and improve ventilation where needed. Routine checks for leaks and mold and quick repairs go a long way toward keeping your home mold-free.

Mold spores can trigger nasal congestion, throat irritation, coughing, wheezing, eye irritation, or skin rashes. People with asthma, allergies, or weakened immune systems often feel the effects sooner and more intensely. Some molds also release mycotoxins linked to serious respiratory or neurological issues. Swift remediation and better ventilation are the best defenses.
