"This pro provided useful information via a virtual (online) video consultation. Since this service does not send technicians to the home, they did not do the actual work. I am considering whether to order parts and try to complete the repair myself or under their virtual direction."

"Ken came out Sunday (we called Saturday afternoon). He drained the machine, diagosed the problem, and came back later with the part he had ordered. He fixed the machine and it works perfectly now. He was very candid in telling us what it would cost and whether it was worth repairing or not . He showed up on time and kept his word on everything. In a word, he was perfect."

"Jonesy lives in the next town and he happened  to have a little time free so he came right over an hour later.
I could not remove the blown bulb in the freezer. Frankly, I was a little embarrassed to call an appliance repair guy, but was glad I did.  He told me with newer refrigerators with electronic displays,  if the bulb breaks, it can short out the mother board and turn into a costly repair.  So I asked him to do it.
He had a tough time but was able to remove the bulb without breaking it.  While he was here, I had him clean the compressor and front grill.
He suggested that you always put a little Vaseline on the threads of the bulb to prevent this problem in the future. Clearly, the original bulb had been over tightened and, as I saw on line, is not an uncommon problem.
He was very personable and offers a $10 discount to Angie's List members.  I will definitely use him again.

When they came out they told me the compressor needed replacing in the refrigerator and it would cost $800.00

plus labor. They also told me I needed 4 new igniters for my gas stove burners. I was quoted a price of $20.00 - $30.00

per igniter plus labor. It cost me $89.00 for the estimate on 8-31-2015. I was told they would contact me when the parts

came in .They came back on 9-16-2015 to repair the burners. I had been expecting a quicker return date. I don't see why it took over two weeks to get 4 igniters. The igniters were replaced quickly and I was charged $181.25 for parts and labor. It seemed to me to be a little on the high side but I didn't question it at the time. When I looked at the receipt later to figure out how much I was charged  for parts vs. labor the receipt was not itemized so I could not tell. My main complaint is that less than two weeks later on

9-27-2015 one of the burners failed to lite again. I would not expect that to happen. I will

have to contact them and hope I don't get charged again to come back out and look at it again. If I do get charged for another house call I will not be using them again.

"Chuck at JRS Exteriors did a fantastic job on our kitchen floor replacement project under some very tight timelines and with limited resources. For this project he singlehandedly managed all facets of the demo as well as the layout and installation of the new floor keeping us on track and even working later in to the night time hours. Porcelain tiles with longer lengths and thicker dimensions brought on challenges that required forethought, different tooling, and planning for proper orientation and alignment. Chuck did his homework in advance in the end built a professional looking floor which we are very pleased with. Noteworthy is Chuckâ  s determination and unwavering push for doing a quality job for the client with no short cuts. Such was the case when he uncovered some weaknesses in our floor boards which were causing some bowing which we were oblivious to. Chuck ended up devising a sub floor solution with a special cement mixture to apply on top of it to restore the floor to an exact level plane before tiling to assure a stronger and longer lasting bond. Once the tiles and grout had cured, he contoured a custom wood transition border to mate the dining room floor with the new kitchen tiles. Chuck was the first Home Advisor sponsor to make contact with us and scheduled a visit to our home to gage the project in advance shortly thereafter. He is very knowledgeable with the craft and easy to work with. Most of all Chuck takes pride in meeting the expectations of the customer."

"

This was about as seamless a kitchen renovation that one could ever hope for.  Dave listened carefully to the goals we wanted to achieve in our kitchen, and was patient with the design adjustments we wanted to incorporate as we considered each version of the design plans.  One cabinet in particular that was added toward the end of the design process was brilliantly conceived on his part--a cabinet to store large items that looked like a lovely piece of dining room furniture, with exterior shelving and drawers. It is a centerpiece in the kitchen.  Dave was careful to preserve important walk ways in our kitchen so as to not create bottlenecks--an important element in this centrally located kitchen.  His advice on style and color of cabinetry was also highly valued in our desire to achieve a cleaner and brighter look, yet one that was still consistent with our 1931 Colonial.

The Brookhaven cabinets are beautiful and well-made.  While they are pricey, Dave was able to steer us to take advantage of a manufacturer's discount.  The selection of hardware that was available without incurring additional cost was completely adequate, and we took advantage of this option.

Installation of the cabinetry was smooth and timely.  We decided to make a last minute change to the placement of our microwave, which necessitated the order of a new drawer.  This took longer than we had hoped, but understood that this was not a Kitchen Center issue, but rather one of the manufacturer, as each items is custom made.  When the drawer arrived, it was without a front--this added more time.

Once the cabinetry was installed, irregularities were minimal.  Dave and a service that works with him tended to adjusting hinges, covering screw heads, and painting areas that needed to be smoothed.

Overall, working with the Kitchen Center exceeded our expectations.  Communication and responsiveness were excellent.  They partnered well with our contractor so that there were no glitches or last minute surprises--almost unheard of for a kitchen renovation.  The quality of the design and workmanship has made for a space that we are loving, and our only regret was that we did no redo our kitchen sooner!

"Great experience with Provost. Admittedly, I do not know a lot about plumbing, so it would be hard to comment on the technical aspects of the job. However, the parts I do know about, and most homeowners are in the same boat, were all phenomenal. Those parts are communication, timeliness and the finished result. I actually found Provost due to my initial plumber not returning or initiating any communication. I grew frustrated and called Provost due to a great recommendation (of their work). They immediately called me back and from there were in constant contact during the whole process. Because I had several contractors working on parts of the job the scheduling was tricky. Provost was able to work with them and move forward as they did. Finally, everything works great! Overall, it was a very professional, friendly and positive experience."
