He was able to happily troubleshoot the issue, change the switch and hit my outlet working again. "I purchased a "Big Deal" for a ceiling fan installation.  I was pleased when Tim Eddings was able to schedule an appointment with me within a few days of my call.  Our appointment was for 2:00 PM, but when he hadn't showed or called by 2:45, I called him.  He said that he had double-booked the time slot, and that he would arrive in about 45 minutes. He showed up around 3:45, nearly 2 hours after our original appointment  time. No apology.  Upon examining the location for the new fan installation, he commented that the painters who had removed the old fan had taken away some sort of crucial part that was necessary for installation.  He managed to work around this problem, though it didn't exactly inspire confidence that he didn't travel with parts in case this happened.  I had to rummage through my tool box for some screws for him to use.  He finally got the fan installed -- hope it stays in place!

"Contractor arrived earlier than scheduled and got straight to work.  Unfortunately the problem with the light involved more complex electrical work than I had thought so it was not fixed.  However, he did fix the problem I was having with the faulty lighting in the ceiling fans from my original request - I was using the wrong light-bulbs.  Go figure!
