Customers say: Quick response

"Kudos to Rustic Remodel for a job well done. Patrick and helper arrived on time. They were professional and personable. They did an excellent job installing a door between the sunroom and dining room. They also assembled a dresser and repaired the wardrobe door. I was very impressed with the quality of the work and their work ethic. Will definitely hire again for other projects."

"They did the renovations in our bathroom for us. They put porcelain tile down in our bathroom and around the bathtub. They installed a shower for us. They did all the plumbing. They basically had the shower, take the old shower out . Then they had the city come inspect and make sure it's up to code."

"That particular company had been getting a bad rep before we used them. We went ahead and used them and it was not an insurance claim and they did an excellent job. They're competitive and very comparable to everybody else in our area. They're not any more expensive, they're not any less. They do a really good job, what they promise to do, they do."

"I called Louie the day after I had to evict a couple from my house. I was really concerned because I had tried to change out the locks myself thinking, "How hard could this really be?". That hard! Even 2 of my guy neighbors couldn't do it. That's why there are locksmiths people! Even worse, I managed to get the front door dead bolt off and couldn't get the new lock on.....so there I am with a hole in the front door for the evening! As a single woman with 2 very friendly labs, I knew I was in over my head. Louie was very pleasant and easy to talk to and even made a suggestion to re-key all the locks and not replace them all. That evening, after work at 7pm., Louie sent out his son to come to my aid. You don't know how relieved I was to pull up to my cabin and see his work truck! Gil was polite and friendly and very capable of the work at hand. Less than 2 hours later, I had peace of mind again. My community at Lake Arrowhead will definitely be hearing about this success story as I was told by a few neighbors, "Good luck getting a locksmith to come out here." Louie/Gill are over the top in customer service!"

FAQs for door or window screens install or repair projects in Bremen, GA

Most off-the-shelf screens come in fixed sizes, ranging from 18 inches by 20 inches to 36 inches by 74 inches, which fit the vast majority of residential windows. If your opening falls outside that range or has a unique shape, you’ll need a custom screen built to the exact measurements. Going custom ensures a secure fit, a solid barrier against bugs, and a clean, finished look.

The decision to repair or replace your screen depends on the extent of the damage. Small holes or tears in otherwise solid mesh can be patched, and a sturdy frame usually doesn’t need to go anywhere. However, once the frame is bent or the mesh is brittle and fraying in several spots, replacement becomes a more sensible option—and often proves to be less costly in the long run. Take a close look at both parts before making a decision.

To rescreen a window, start by prying out the old spline, then lift the torn mesh from the frame. Lay the new screen over the frame, allowing about an inch of excess on all sides, and hold it in place while pressing fresh spline into the groove with a roller. Check that the mesh is taut—many pros rest a small brick on it while they work—then trim the overhang with a utility knife.

Most window screens last for 10 to 12 years. Time, sun, and weather gradually make the mesh brittle, so you’ll start to see sagging, rips, or thinning spots that let bugs get through. Check the screens each season; if the mesh crumbles or the frame warps, it’s time to replace them to keep air flowing and pests outside.

Most pros can swap out a screen in 10 minutes to an hour. A quick pop‑in replacement goes fastest, while fitting new mesh into an existing frame or working on a hard‑to‑reach upper window adds time. Either way, plan for at least a few extra minutes per screen so the installer can verify the fit and ensure the spline is seated correctly.
