"Doc was very helpful on the phone, and came by to give an estimate promptly. He was also much more immediately responsive than others I contacted, some of whom never called back or called back 1-2 weeks later.
He described what needed to happen to replace the shower pan, and provided price options for either installing a new fiberglass pan or doing the whole pan area in custom tile. He was also clear up front that he had to cut through the bottom part of the wall tile to do this work, and that there was a chance it could not be salvaged.
When he found that there was just sheetrock under the wall tile, he told us it had to go regardless?and I am thankful we discovered that when we did, before it caused tons of water damage. Doc then re-quoted the job to include the full tile work.  
Doc was friendly, communicated well about the project, and did great work. He does take a bit of time to complete a project (he doesn't rush, which is probably better for quality!), but you're never left hanging about when he's coming back. I would definitely hire him again.

He came and picked up the hard drive on Tuesday and returned it on Saturday. Fortunately he was able to "restore" without any data loss. Very happy with outcome."

They came back and resolved the problem but they also did additional work; they really are not the best painters. He promptly came out to my house, took off his shoes at the entrance, wearing face mask while in my house, answered all questions that came up during my DIY attempt and certainly fixed the issue with some grace I must add (at a very reasonable price).
