"I called my fuel company to schedule an annual furnace tune up and was asked if my chimney was cleaned recently. It wasn't so Petro highly recommended calling Guaranteed Home Improvement. I did and spoke with Mark who made an appointment for a service call. Justin arrived promptly and did a thorough inspection of the exterior and interior of the chimney. He provided photos that were helpful as he described the damage in the flue and cautioned about the possibility of carbon monoxide building up inside the chimney. He was very knowledgeable, clear and concise as he explained that inserting a liner would divert smoke and heat from corroding the clay tiles filtering into the house. The photos of missing and disintegrated tiles at the base of the flue were enough proof for me. Justin answered my questions about the work, when it could be done, how long it would take, the cost, etc. The decision to go forward was a no brainer for me and as I was comfortable with Justin's responses and he arranged for a crew to come over within the hour. Charles and Taj arrived soon after and immediately began installing the liner in the chimney. They were professional, courteous, worked well together, and completed the work in a short period of time. Eric contacted me later to find out if everything was okay and I said I was completely satisfied. The entire process from the initial call through the follow up conversation from Eric was handled very well. In fact, everyone I interacted with at Guaranteed Home Improvement was friendly, professional, and fine examples of good customer service. The unsung heroes were the receptionists who redirected my calls. I am very thankful for the fine repair work and the peace of mind that came with it. "Thought the tech was polite and kind, as was the secretary and office manager. Dolan did not do the job we asked the company to do. After 4 hours and $835 dollars later, it stilled looked like this: After calling and speaking to a supervisor, I felt very upset that I was spoken as though I was a dumb female that didn't know what I was taking about and that in fact my system was cleaned. You be the judge. Picture is after tech left. He didn't have the beads needed to replace so he left as is to come back another day for more money."

"Our experience with Cabinets Direct, and the salesman Frank at the Orange location, was very disappointing. We first met with Frank in late July, but our order wasn't actually placed until late August. When we asked about the delays in getting the cabinets ordered, Franks response was that new customers were coming in and he "couldn't turn down work" - at the expense of existing customers like us. We did not receive the last of our cabinets until mid-November, four months after initial contact. Since replacing cabinets was only one part of our renovation, this had a domino effect that resulted is us living in an unfinished house with no way to prepare food for weeks. Even after the cabinets finally came, there have been issues. Frank ordered the wrong color trim for the top of the cabinets, so it took another two weeks for replacement parts to arrive. Our microwave, which we gave him the dimensions of in advance, didn’t fit in the space provided, so we had to buy a different (smaller and less powerful) one. Finally, our dishwasher hits the handle over our stove when we open it all the way. In the interest of full disclosure, the national customer service reps for Cabinets Direct that we worked with after the order was in were very friendly and helpful during the long process. However, given the very high price-point for these cabinets, being told our order was being delayed so Frank could talk to new customers before finishing our order and thereby delaying our cabinets is unacceptable. Our entire renovation was significantly delayed as a result, and without a functioning kitchen we had no option other than to eat out for every meal, for weeks. We would not recommend this salesman, or company. We don’t expect the royal treatment, but these were expensive cabinets and we at least expected basic competence, and we did not get that."

Jim is that rare individual who is truly nice, communicative, creative, reasonably priced and a meticulous master craftsman. Three years ago, Jim designed and built 2 closets and a built-in bookcase for us. We were so happy with that work that we didn’t consider anyone else to design and build our new closet. This project from beginning to end was perfect. He started and finished when he said he would and cleaned up as he worked.
