"Domenick and Bill were amazing understood our needs, replaced all wood on roof and facia boards, had to sister a rafter, did a beautiful copper cutout on our brick chimney, ( their signature design ) added vents, to keep out attic cool. Took the time to address minor issues like painting our second chimney to match the color scheme of roof tiles, replaced gutters and leaders and added mesh covers. His gutters installer did over and above the call, cane back to clean leaves etc from the gutters after the storm to install mesh covers. The clean up was very important to me and they cleaned up constantly keeping ahead of it. So no nails and other debris left behind. When Domenick came to give an estimate I felt sure he was the one to do the job, I’m glad I chose D&S and I highly recommend them. As I will recommend them to all my friends and neighbors."

I found them on Angie's List. He made an appointment, showed up on time and his price was right. He suggested the larger, rather than the smaller-sized gutters and showed the proper reason why we should buy that. He suggested gutter guard, the little screen things that go on top, because we have a lot of trees in the area. He justified the reason for it and the price he was charging. The price was very reasonable. We did about 70 feet worth of gutter work, removed the old and installed the new with new caps and everything else at under $700.

"Charles and another man arrived two hours late--they never called me, rather I called them twice that morning to find out where they were. The first time, they said they were on their way and would be at my house in 15 minutes. They didn't arrive for another 1.5 hrs. When they arrived, they said they were on their way when they went back to their business and get rain coats. This was the morning before Hurricane Irene was to hit Connecticut and it was raining on and off. At the time, I was relieved that I was having the work done before the storm was to hit, since I knew the gutters desperately needed to be cleaned out. As it turned out, I'm not sure it mattered much, because of the quality of their work.

They did clean out my gutters, but not my downspouts. Basically, they dragged my hose up on the roof (a 2 story house) and flushed the gutters...into the downspouts, where else? I believe they did have to manually do some of the clean out and I have Waterfall vinyl gutter guards on my gutters that they had to deal with and which Charles complained about. I haven't had the gutters cleaned in several years and I knew that birds had dislodged the covers and nested in several place. After the guys left, I found one gutter bracket on the ground in the backyard (I can't see where it came from), and in another spot, I can see a cover connector clip (connecting two length of gutter cover) wasn't reattached to the gutter.

After Irene hit, I was inspecting around my yard and found that a large shrub next to the house was starting to pull out of the ground. That's when I found that the downspout at that corner of the house was packed with about a foot of debris. This wasn't from the storm, this was from them cleaning the gutters but not bothering with the downspouts. I couldn't believe it. Where did they think all that debris was going? They didn't even check the downspouts. It took me about 15 minutes with several make-shift tools (finally a bent wire-hanger worked best) to get it all out. I think the packed downspout contributed to the damage to the shrub (it'll live) because the ground there next to the downspout spot got so saturated.

I can't recommend them. When someone works on your house, you want to them to treat it like it's their own, like they care. I have to say I was very disappointed at how it went, since they had such good grades in Angie's List.

"I would highly recommend Kenny and his team! I was concerned that I might have a roof leak. He came to check it out and booked us in for repair much sooner than I was expecting. He also noticed potential issues with our chimneys which we otherwise would not have known about. Unfortunately I was working the day he came, so he not only explained the issues to my husband, he also took the time with me on the phone to go through his findings and suggestions and answered all of my questions. He did not try to push a sale, and offered more cost effective options if the “gold standard” recommendations were out of reach financially for us. He also offered financing which we thankfully didn’t need, but is always helpful. Today his crew arrived on time and ready to go. They were clean in their work, and even blew out our gutters for us! I am very pleased with the work that was done and would absolutely use Red Rhino again!"
