"This was our second go with Stan - in early 2018, his team converted our "bonus room" into a bedroom, bathroom and a study. We were so impressed by his work quality and responsiveness, that when we needed to replace a rotting wooden deck with a new Trex one, Stan was the first one we contacted. His visit for planning a deck install quote was like the previous visit - it took only 5-10min with general questions on what we'd like, and a detailed quote (with line items) came in an email. Price was very reasonable - not the cheapest, but very reasonable, and as we trust Stan, we hired him to do the deck as well. This work included demolition of the deck (Stan agreed to let us do part of the demo, and gave a discount on the quote for that), framing and installing the deck. After the initial deck frame, we realized we were a bit too greedy with the deck size.. it was too big! We asked Stan to adjust the size down a bit, and he did it quickly, with little extra cost (the effort needed for adjustment was compensated by the lower cost of Trex material for the now-smaller deck). The final deck size was 20ft by 24ft, using Trex Transcend (the highest-tier Trex composite decking) - the full deck work was $25,000 of the project total of $32,000. In addition to the new deck, we asked Stan to also extend the backyard fence around the deck, so we would have more yard space for our dog. Stan's quote included that one as well (for about $3,000). In addition, we asked Stan to install a barrel sauna (from Costco), as part of the larger project - this would include electrical hookup for the 8kW heater. Initial plan was to install it onto the deck, but Stan suggested a different location for better privacy and more deck space. As a result, his team built a small wooden platform next to the deck, and installed the sauna on it (this was $4,000, with us providing the barrel sauna). I've included pictures of the deck, the new larger fence and the sauna. As before, Superior Building Concepts work was impeccable, and they were flexible in timelines, preferences, changes etc. We've kept recommending him to others, and everyone has been happy with Stan's work. We'll definitely have him do more projects as well, I would highly recommend Superior Building Concepts for any contractor work."

"This is the second project that we have hired JAW Construction for and we are very happy with how our remodel turned out. As this was a major kitchen, dining and living room remodel, which meant we were not going to be able to be in those rooms during the construction, John and I worked on the timeline to ensure it went as smoothly as possible. Before the project started, Mark from Amcraft Cabinets came out and measured and talked with us to determine how best to use the space. We came up with several cool options including a pull out spice rack and a lift for my mixer. Once the project began, John, Brian, the electricians Clint, Christian and Tyler and the plumber Mike were always on time, friendly, always available for questions and cleaned up after themselves. John estimated that the project would take six weeks and it ended up taking five weeks! While it was not fun to be without a kitchen, we are so happy with how it turned out, it made it all worth it. "Lynn Lapping, one of the sales representatives, came to my house, measured the windows and the next day sent me a quote for blinds (Hunter Douglas Applause Line). During that first visit, she was friendly and provided answers to all of my questions. Two weeks later, I contacted her to come by and measure three kitchen windows, as I am planning to put roman shades in them. Lynn came by, but she seemed off, she was rushed, impatient and a bit rude. I had recently received a quote for drapes from another company and I asked her if she thought the prices were reasonable for the type of drapes. She was annoyed and told me that I should had ask her to measure those windows during her first visit to get a quote for drapes.  However, at that time, I had no plans to put drapes there so I could not have planned for it. I ignored her demeanor and attitude, we all have bad days, and so I assumed she was simply having a bad day.
I wanted to place a deposit for the blinds on the spot but she locked herself out of their system and she could not process my payment. She told me that someone would call me to get my credit card information, but no one ever did. I called her the next day to ask for the final quote and make sure everything was ready to go, she told me she would get the quote to me later that evening or the next day. She never did. I called the following day and left a voice mail for Lynn. The office manager e-mailed me to let me know that Lynn would be out of the office due to a family emergency and that she would contact me the following week to place the order. I e-mailed her back and ask her if someone else could help me with the order as I did not want to delay the process an additional week (lead time is three to four weeks). She told me that John the company owner would contact me to process the order. All of these e-mails were exchanged on a Wednesday. The weekend came and the owner never e-mailed or called me. On Monday I e-mailed the office manager to ask if someone would be calling me to process the order. I also ask her to let me know if they could not process my order so that I could find another provider. I received the following e-mail: "We apologize for the delay. Due to the scheduling conflicts with our designers, we will not be able to assist you with your order.  We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused." 
While I understand that family emergencies do happen, it does not make sense for a business to stop because one of their employees is unavailable. I am happy that my order did not get process through this company; I can get Hunter Douglas blinds for the same price with other providers. What would have happened if I had trouble either with the delivery, installation or quality of the blinds and Lynn was not available to handle those situations? Again, business continuity is a must for a company to be successful, business can not stop for one employee.

"This was not the first time we utilized the know-how and expertise of Jeff at Anchor Renovating.  We had used him in the past for smaller projects inside and were very satisfied so we decided to use him again for our outdoor project. He came over and helped us brain storm how to transform our simple patio into an outdoor oasis.  He listened to what our wants were, then offered some great ideas and options.
When construction day came the weather was awful.  It rained for days (it seemed) but that didn't interrupt his schedule or determination to have the project completed in a timely manner.  Though soaked to the bone, he was always upbeat and professional.  He had the foundation and majority of the deck and roof completed in time for our scheduled delivery of our new hot tub.
